Pre-ordering has no downsides. I don't pay anything until it ships or I collect it at the store, I'm guaranteed to get the game at launch, and if I change my mind before launch, I can just cancel it without any penalty.

Show me a match for Uncharted on PC, then we'll talk.

It's the Mirror, so we can safely ignore this.

EDIT:

Quote: "And because VR prevents our eyes from naturally focusing at a far distance, this too can speed-up the progression of myopia."

Apparently these "specialists" have no idea how VR even works, LOL.

I wouldn't even buy the NX if it were £200, let alone £350. I can see this is going to be another failure from a mile away. VR is where the exciting stuff is right now.

The hype for NX makes no sense to me. It's well established that Nintendo platforms lack good third-party support, and I don't see any indications that things are going to be different this time around. Not only that, but Nintendo first-party games release at a trickle and remain expensive for the duration of the system, making Nintendo consoles expensive to own overall. Then you have the random boneheaded moves that Nintendo tends to make, like not including level sharing in Mario...

It seems developers underestimate just how much fun people still find the old-style FPS gameplay. We need more games that play like DOOM.

The Atlus QA staff must be incompetent. QA staff aren't supposed to play the game to the best of their ability every single time; they're supposed to be testing all the different possible conditions and outcomes of the game, which includes deliberately failing under different circumstances.

Also, if Atlus can't issue a quick update to solve this, then it sounds like such incompetence runs throughout the company as a whole.

Because 60FPS looks a lot better than 30FPS.

Nope, I certainly don't remember ever agreeing with that. ;)

XB1: 1920 x 1080 x 30 = 62.2 million pixels per second
PS4: 1600 x 900 x 60 = 86.4 million pixels per second

PS4 version is technically better by objective measurement.

I stopped reading when I read this blatant lie: "Video games are becoming more and more expensive."

I don't care what anyone says... Skyward Sword is the best Zelda. :)

@aiBreeze
Activision haven't published a single game that's worth my attention in the last ten years, which automatically makes them worse than EA to me.

2849d ago 8 agree17 disagreeView comment

I think the people voting EA worst are just trolls at this point. Regardless of bad stuff EA may have done, they have at least published a few games that are worth playing, which automatically makes them better than Activison at very least, regardless of any other factors.

NEO is the safe bet right now. Sony have shown themselves to have a consistently good track record with the best games, while Nintendo lacks any third-party support and Microsoft puts all their games on PC anyway.

Well, CogConnected.com is another website that managed to make it onto my DNS block list. Can't trust websites that write shit like this.

I imported DOAX3 back when it released and I'm really looking forward to this completely harmless VR mode involving digital characters that aren't real and won't turn me (or anyone else) into a rapist or sex offender.

PS+ was already worth the cost just for the Instant Game Collection before the PS4 even launched, so I find it hard to care that multiplayer is now locked behind it, since it just means that I now get access to multiplayer through the subscription that I've already been paying for years, and will continue to pay for anyway.

Now, if they stop the IGC, then it would be a different matter entirely.

This line-up is a list of games that will be on the show floor. They're not having a press conference, but they will be there on the show floor. Exactly the same situation as last year (I know because I was there).

Thanks. I don't think I really want to read an gaming article from a website called "Christian Times" anyway. :D

Digital games are usually more expensive, and there's a very real risk that the games you've bought could be pulled from underneath you at some point in the future (Sony already did this once with PlayStation Mobile).
