"... best PS3 exclusives this Generation"

As opposed to PS3 exclusives from last generation? ;)

On the one hand, how stupid are these people who do not understand that certain features in games that require the use of BOTH screens at the same time (i.e. one of the main points of having the GamePad in the first place) directly implies that the TV MUST be used to play?

On the other hand, I know a few people who still think that the Wii U is just a new controller for the Wii. :p

Xenoblade Chronicles $89? Try £40 (about $64 including tax) on Amazon.co.uk for a new copy.

Still not cheap, but not quite as expensive as this article would have you believe.

I've never played a single Blu-Ray movie disc on my PS3. Not once. This is not a feature I would miss.

Does anyone really care? Digital versions are always more expensive than they are on Amazon anyway, so I wouldn't buy this digitally even with my PS3's 1TB HDD.

You have access to the same funds on your PSN account and can only use the same methods for adding funds as you can on the regular store, which I believe does not include PayPal.

The store is broken. I tried to use it during Christmas whilst staying at my parents house without my PS3 and it just gave me an error that my browser wasn't supported. On three different browsers. In the end, it turns out they're blocking anyone who's using Linux. What a waste of time.

Some of the deals are OK, but some were atrocious:

Deal 2: Battlefield 3
– Was £59.99
- Now £29.99
- Amazon £20.00

Deal 6: Medal of Honor: Warfighter
- Was £59.99
- Now £29.99
- Amazon £19.99

Not to mention those using Euros getting a raw deal with smaller discounts - I'm so glad I set-up a UK account on my PS3 even though I don't live there!

I don't know about anyone else, but I like to get the most out of my gaming experiences by playing my games in a dark room on a big screen with 5.1 surround headphones and no interruptions.

There would be nothing more distracting and annoying to my gaming experience than having someone who has nothing to do with my game yapping in my ear whilst I'm trying to enjoy my game.

There is a time to talk. During my game is not that time.

The real dick move is blocking the use of the USB-to-Ethernet dongle, despite having a USB port.

Seriously Nintendo, how much money did you save by making the effort to REMOVE an OS feature that would cost nothing to leave in?

How about the potential extra revenue you could have made from the sales of USB dongles and WiiWare and VC software?

Just thinking about Nintendo's logic behind this is melting my brain.

I love short games that I can start and finish in the same evening, that give me a unique experience.

I got Skyrim last year, but the shear length of the game is so daunting to me that I haven't even started playing it yet.

I for one completely agree with this article; more unique, cheap, short games please!

Sega - The same company that tried to patent 3D camera angles in games (around the beginning of the Saturn launch IIRC).

Anyway, hopefully this will backfire and will be just be another incident to add to the long list of Sega's spectacular failures.

Journey is probably my favourite game this year, and I even own a Vita, but putting Journey on the Vita seems kinda pointless to me given that the game is really only at it's best when it's played online.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm either playing my Vita because I'm out of the house and away from my PS3 and my Internet connection, or I'm at home so I might as well just be playing the game on PS3 with the big screen and 5.1 instead.

It's had 6-7 years of technology advancement to take advantage of. I'd EXPECT it to be more green.

One of the main reasons I bought very few Virtual Console games - the other reason being how overpriced they are.

Other companies like Sega, Capcom and Midway bundle dozens of games into a single bundle, like the Capcom Classics Collection and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, then sell them for the same price as Nintendo charge for one or two SNES or N64 game.

I'll stick with PC-based emulators for my old-school Nintendo gaming until Nintendo get ...

Unlike firmware updates, it IS possible to reverse a game update, so this shouldn't cause too trouble.

I can't wait to play this. I bought the Collector's Edition ages ago, but I've been waiting until Christmas holidays to play it when I stay with my family without my PS3.

This article is full of wrong.

Xenoblade Chronicles and Pikmin 2 are NOT 2012 games. The former is 2011 and the latter is 2009!

6 Counter Arguments.

1. PSN is secure enough. I don't know anyone who's lost their accounts or money on PSN. I can't say the same for XBLA.

2. This is opinion. For me, the DS3 is better.

3. I don't care much about shooters, with the exception of Sharpshooter enabled games like Resistance 3 and Killzone 3.

4. OK, I can't really argue with this one. It's never caused me such major problems that ...

Maybe they need extra time to answer all the angry mails from people who were expecting to get the original Bioshock included, as was originally promised.
