At least be specific and put down some cogent reasons, otherwise your opinion will be discounted (and/or ignored) as either a pre-pubescent fanboy or that you have nothing intelligent to say. gCM
I've been playing all afternoon, until I had to pick my kids up from school, and I haven't even noticed it--definitely too much good gameplay, but I'll check later. gCM
The code doesn't mention Bioshock at all, and most likely is boilerplate code that gets put into all games that "could" be multiplatform, so as to not reinvent the wheel every time with every line of code. Software re-use is done everywhere possible to save $$ and time.
I agree with whoever above--my copy for 360 says PC/360 only.. I'm on the second level, and it rocks. Definitely pick it up for your PC (or break down and get a 360 Core) to play it (or find somepla...
to the same or slightly lower than Wii, and a lack of Wii supply will mean big sales--especially if they have Halo sitting right next to it for little Johnnie (stupid parents don't read the ratings anyway). gCM
I've thrown my 3 XBOX 360s (Premium) and all my games (over 20 including a few original XBOX games) in the trash... I can't but bow to the supremacy of the PS3... Not quite.. If your PS3 makes you happy, great--go play it. There are a ton of happy 360 owners.. gCM
I have to disagree--it gets them into HD gaming, and they'll be able to play most games, but eventually they may have to spring for a hard drive. Perhaps little Johnnie can save his $$ from his paper route or bug the living crap out of mommy. Its not a terminal thing to have to finally get an HD to play a game (in fact, they could even save to the memory unit if need be--assuming speed isn't an issue). gCM
But if they do, they can just buy a HD if they want to play GTA4 (I know they haven't said it yet, but I bet they jump on this to take advantage of an HD). gCM
Bioshock at that point... Perhaps after the holiday season of goodness. gCM
If you asked "Have you heard of XBLA?", you very well might have some confused folks. But if you said "Have you ever downloaded and tried a free trial game from the XBOX Live Arcade on the Games tab?" Wording is everything--politics uses them, businesses use them (even M$, Sony and Nin) to show what they want, but ESPECIALLY to show a "shocking" or "stunning" headline such as a large portion of your users don't use a key feature (even the recent hi-def...
The casual market of the Wii isn't getting the attach rate that the 360 is getting. And grandma at the nursing home won't be buying Zelda, or even the Wii Fit--can you imagine the old folks they show in their commercials trying to balance on that board? Don't get me wrong, I've got a 360 and a Wii, but the 360 gets my time. Wii Sports is sweet, but outside Mario Galaxy I don't see buying a lot (and it sounds like now not many folks are buying third party Wii titles). gCM
Once the Elite hits $399, premium $299 and core $199-239, it will mean increased pressure for Wii and the PS3. They need to throw in a game also. Look for these I predict by Black Friday. gCM
If they implement it on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving), that'll be a huge move. Plenty of moms out there looking for a new game system (of which they won't bother to check game ratings), and whomever can make it to the Wii's pricepoint will kill. Moms don't really care about Blue-Ray if its hundreds of dollars more. And if they bundle in Halo and a Live title mom likes (like solitaire), it'll be a great holiday season for M$. Sony could do the same, but after their recent pricing m...
Bring on the demo -- it'll sell even more.. gCM
While I don't care for puzzle games, my wife will play it on the 360. Not quite a system seller, but good to have. Perhaps the PS2 version will still play on the PS3. gCM
Too "cutesy" of an interface--Sony can have it. Just let me have group chat so I can call my buds and start up a game. gCM
While Home will have the feature of meeting up with several folks, chatting and jumping into a game, M$ needs to add this. I should be able to "ring" several on my friends list (or clan list) and propose a game of Gears, start it up and jump right in, no matter what they're doing. gCM
I'm not losing sleep over it. You know Mark and Cliffy's character--I'm sure they already wanted to bring it. After a while, I bet it comes to the 360--I certainly won't be upgrading my PC to play it. The $$$ they could make is too good to turn down, unless its some "artistic" principle--they do have cash to burn. If it does, I'll buy it. If not, I'll dutifully wait for GoW2.. Its still got tons of replay value and with M$' announced fall lineup, I'll be busy through half of nex...
While the demo sucked and I won't be buying it, it sounds like it would affect my saved rosters from last year (possibly), but at least any future ones once EA gets their head out of their a$$ and makes a good version (better than last years). That "bug" could be a near-fatal flaw pushing me to "another" console (though I'll probably eventually get it anyway when the price is $300 for a cheap blu-ray player). gCM
On marketplace, under Games, then the game you want (just like now), and then they just list it as another submenu (if it gets more than say 5 items), but tag it someway that we know its user-created. That's how VelocityGirl can get her skatepark on Marketplace! (J. Allard reference)
gCM
He never said they weren't or couldn't, only that it was more difficult. gCM
