They should be. This looks really good. I don't get all the hate that COD gets. Personally I feel that excluding MW3 and Ghosts, the COD franchise has been really solid overall. I even kinda liked AW as it was a bold move to try something different. COD 4 and Black Ops I and II are still my favorites.
My personal list (of what I've played):
1. MGS3
2. MGS
3. MGS4
4. MGS2
5. MGS GZ
I've got a good feeling about MGS5 (excluding Konami nonsense).
Call me old fashioned but I actually miss the CD playback the most.
Last of us generator scene and Heavy Rain basement scene. Those were really stressful but in a good way (a bit different thing than the author went after for but still).

Some games are pure fun to play (e.g. Rocket league, call of duty) but lack some other aspects, and that's fine. These are the games I spend most of my gaming time with. But I still don't consider these masterpieces.
Then there are these artsy games that might not be that fun to play (no addictive gameplay mechanics) but they will still stick to your mind for a long time and make a lasting impression (in a good way). EGR might be one of these games and I'm totally...
I'm pretty late to jump in to this but I finally was able to play the game (finished it during one game session). I must say that it took few "levels" for me to start fully appreciate this game. First 20 minutes were like "okay I get it, it's an artsy game with nice presentation but it's pretty boring". Soon after that (during the first kite level I think) I started to fall in love. The title of this game perfectly describes it. It's a journey. Not just in ...
Twix all the way!
Been saying this for ages but all I need is a new Time Splitters game! New Crash Bandicoot (or even a remake) would be sweet as well.
Max Payne 3 is good. But it just doesn't feel like a Max Payne game imo. Personally I am pretty much the opposite of everything you just wrote.
"Fallout 4 is a Bigger, Better Fallout 3". Well it oughta be! It's a bloody sequel for a last gen game.
"There has never been gaming entertainment like this. It connects the deepest emotions with the highest emotions. Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture is miraculous. It is Rapturous."
Just wow! This has my undivided attention now. The game length seems perfect to me as well.
Thanks Eogan, helpful comment. I love narrative gaming experiences. That is if you take your time with them and do not rush.
These screens look really really good! They got this FFVIII vibe going on. I dig it.
What does that even mean?
True! A very solid score. I'm interested in hearing opinions from the community before jumping in (too many great titles to play).
Ps. What is the "goal" in this game?
Have to agree with this one. The game wasn't as good as all the 10/10 reviews made it look. I think the game took itself too seriously and it simply wasn't the same fun game than the others in this series are. Luckily GTA 5 brought the fun back!
Great top 3. Kefka, Sephirot and Kuja surely are the best baddies in final fantasy franchise.
I disagree.. Personally I thought that this trailer is extremely emotional. Maybe it's just my father hormones running (have a 7 months old son).
Disgaea series is so good! My favourite strategy RPGs for sure. And the dark humor is awesome.
