The AI is realistic. They have to see, hear, or hear from other AI that you are behind them. You must think Call of Duty AI is good because they are so static they always know where the player is.
That is how it works in real life. You don't just magically know someone is behind you and in the heat of battle not everyone will realize someone is flanking them on there own.
KillZone has some of the best AI this gen. Artificial Intelligence is not about be...

Sony and Mark Cerny did not develop the OS entirely. They use a OS called Orbis. It is far more efficient then the modified Windows 8 that X1 uses, unless it is actually optimized to be good. If you think experience is all that matters for how good the OS development is then you are dead wrong. Microsoft is not a good OS developer. It does the job but they have all these resources and it does not show. Windows is not a good OS. It is only the most popular on compute...
@clouds5
Consoles drive game demand more then PC's do. That is why many games release only on consoles, even if they can go on PC without much trouble.
Preference doesn't deter me from understanding that. I like both PC and consoles. I currently only game on laptop, it has a 7640G and 7670M so it plays games well. I will upgrade to a better laptop eventually or build a desktop later on. I know very well how to build a desktop as I had my own last year...
Everything in a system has something to do with its power. RAM affects CPU and GPU calculations and stores tons of data for it. It does a bit.
@ Hufandpuf
Voice and face recognition were done on PS2 and cell phone for years.
Cloud features are just regular features you have had for years on 360, PS3, and PC but they emphasize calling it a cloud.
Amazing launch game lineup? What is innovative about that?
You have to go through Microsoft to make your console into a dev kit and even then it isn't as good as a proper dev kit that real publishers would still likely get, they just want to spark...
Sony was looking into it but they never thought of actually going through with it. Both huge differences. Just like they thought of going with Nvidia but never went through with that.
And what they found from thinking about it is that it is wrong for the customer and therefore wrong for the company credibility and profit.
It is a one time fee, unlike internet which can get rather expensive and is a reoccurring payment. People value things differently. Don't bring assumptions into it. Plus some countries and areas still don't have proper internet and if they do it can be at very overpriced options because they are the only provider in the area.
North Carolina where my brother lives only has Time Warner and it cuts off sometimes for his whole area and sometimes just slows down a lot and...
@Zhipp
Who said you were defending X1?
Things go right over your head.
I assume you are referencing when I said "If you think Xbox 1 isn't terribly built by being so huge with the kind of hardware it has and still having an external power brick to cut down on size isn't bad then just wait.".
Which is my reply to when you said "They're still quality components, and a perfect fit for small boxes lik...
It isn't the issue of being able to download it. But for those that can't it really does suck for them. This form of DRM is terrible for those that can't afford internet but still scrounge up enough of what money they have to buy the game full price only to not have the full game.
Exactly. Obviously most people intend to have online connectivity so the download itself isn't an issue to achieve, but the point is that they are trying to trick people into a DRM policy of sorts.
You don't buy a car to get the last parts of it later after confirming you own it legally.
They can include the drivatars portion into the game itself, at least for the developers driving behaviors.. They can include the additional cars and tracks at the very least.
It is more like they are cutting out the content with incentive to connect online which is a dirty trick to follow Microsoft's policy to be online, they are tricking you into thinking they are being nice and not tricking you into another DRM policy for that game.
He is just pointing out how they are trying to do another form of DRM with this method. They should just focus on producing product and not restricting it.
You apply the line so terribly. It is in the agreements of the contest. You can't cheat. He was disqualified from the game. People that do that crap can be rid of. Why are you pretending that people can do nothing about it when it applies to other situations that people try and do stupid unethical things?
MineCraft is bad? Man I guess these indie games I got on Steam sales aren't good anymore. I better cancel my StarBound preorder as well.
It's that when they say cloud computing they generally don't mean anything to do with the cloud computing what is done in the game itself but rather just uploading your data like levels you create or what ranking you are and stuff. Mainly stuff that has already been done but they just call it all a cloud.
If Sony said they have an online infrastructure for game downloads, game servers, and social networking Microsoft would label the same things as a cloud basically. ...
@omi25p
It is called voice recognition..
They don't put literal people in a chair and tell them all the millions of accounts they can chose from to spy on.
If you type in something suspicious or say something suspicious it will be recorded and you will be booted up the ladder by the system that will rank you as more suspicious. How do you think tons of people are caught for downloading things? They see who typed it in to google most ofte...
@bumnut
1. He misunderstood what low-end meant by talking about low-end-rated hardware when we talked about actual construction and components.
2. Zhipp was wrong either way.
3. He mentioned a high/mid-range GPU compared to one of the top of the line GPU's.
He is just going off-topic.
Once again, talking about the same hardware he mentioned. Underclock a Vishera and it will run cooler with higher perfo...
@Zhipp
Try getting a 7850 to the same performance as a 7970. It won't be nearly as cool as the 7970.
Higher performance parts run cooler. Sure a higher end card tends to have higher temps. But the point is that a lower end card clocked up to that performance is either not going to work or it will overheat or be much higher heat because it has cheaper/lesser components.
As you definitely should be able to tell, the newer series of cards ...
@omi25p
PS4 lets you share disc based games as expected and you can still log in on your account on another persons PS4 and download and play your games with your account.
MicroSoft just doesn't compromise for the consumer. They compromised for themselves. If they couldn't control shared games they could control your account access more.
PS4 does the updating while playing a game. It isn't any sort of advanced online system requ...

Knowing how Microsoft faked Kinect gameplay when it first was shown on 360 they may have just split the microphone captured audio from game audio and played it for them. Not saying they did necessarily but always wait for results from Microsoft before taking it from them.
The skeletal tracking, while great, is still quite unstable at 6:00 at certain movements. It seems not much different then Kinect 1.0. Legs still twitch bad and that is when she i...
