Unless the PS5 and the next Xbox are also portable machines, I think the Switch will be just fine.
I already have a discless Xbox One. It's called a laptop. :P
You can change the interface to dark mode, it's been there since launch.
It's not the PS Vita, but it's still 1/7th the size of a Playstation 4. So yeah, hardware limitations due to size still apply, something that anyone with an ounce of logic can understand.
So yes, it's justifiable because it's portable. Because the reason it's portable is precisely because it's so small.
That doesn't explain why the new Pokemon game looks so bland graphically on the Switch. The console itself isn't powerful at all compared to Xbox One / PS4, but it is still capable of much more than what they've showed us for the new Pokémon so far.
The art direction is bland, the textures are atrocious, the aliasing is awfully evident, the colours are washed... for a new Pokémon game on a console relatively more capable as the Switch, I honestly expec...
Or maybe a PS4 swan song, even. It's doable, if they use the same engine, development time is reduced dramatically. It's been 2 years already since Horizon was released, so Guerrilla Games could be well along development for a sequel if they haven't done anything else since (well, aside from the Frozen Wilds expansion, of course, which was probably already in development before Horizon launched).
That wasn't his point. It doesn't matter that they aren't annual releases, for anyone invested in the Nintendo ecosystem (like you and myself) it is easy to grow tired of these games for some people. I mean, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Yoshi's Woolly World, Yoshi's Crafted World... then you have games like New Super Mario Bros 2 (3DS) and New Super Mario Bros U (Wii U) releasing close to each other, which adds to the general fatigue feeling.
Don't get me ...
Octopath Traveler
Mario Tennis Aces
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna: The Golden Country
Super Mario Odyssey
Splatoon 2
ARMS
Golf Story
Yoshi's Crafted World
Super Smash Bros Ultimate
FAST RMX
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Tetris 99
Zelda BOTW (can't call this a port when it's a simultaneous release with the Wii U version).
There's also plenty of game...
TP was a remaster, not just a port.
Add me on Paladins, dude, look me up as gurfinki.
You are the one that don't know Nintendo. They already did slightly upgraded hardware way before Sony and Microsoft. DS got the DSi line, and 3DS got the New 3DS line. Both slightly more powerful.
So, Nintendo could definitely do that for the Switch eventually, along with better battery life and a slightly bigger screen by just reducing the bezel size - it is quite a big bezel on the current Switch model.
There were a few I was excited about, but that was eons ago back in the PS3 days. Back then there were some pretty good deals.
*looks at NES and SNES*
Yeah, no. Switch still has a big way to go before being comparable to Nintendo's first 2 home consoles.
What? DKC Returns was good and Tropical Freeze was fantastic.
No, just no. She's Amy Hennig. She has her own name, and she built a reputation on her own. No need to compare her with other geniuses.
She already left a good while ago.
It will be full price and you know it.
The thing is, Activision Blizzard actually had their best year ever in 2018. So nope, the company performed amazing, and it's very likely that Bobby Kotick is now seen as more valuable than ever as CEO. Their reasoning was that, despite their amazing performance, there's a lot of unnecessary positions in the company that calls for a restructuration to arguably yield even better results in the future, so that's why they made the massive layoffs despite being healthier than ever. T...
So, you can't even bother to read the title, uh? It must hurt, I guess.
The stock fell because they cut their projected sales forecast. Not because of the direct. Again: it's in the damn title of the article you yourself linked.
Lmao.
Nintendo has basically zero experience in mature themed games a la GTA or The Last of Us. There's no reason to think they would be able to make a good game in that style at all.
You want that? There's plenty of that on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (and you probably have at least one of those already).
Nah, let Nintendo make Nintendo games. I'd certainly like to see them up their game output, for sure... but I have zero problem if they are all "fo...
