Yes, you could use the gamepad to execute special moves, but it was better to use the right analog stick for that, really. It was faster and more precise for almost all moves except the aforementioned Wonder Yellow (that hammer input was really hard to do consistently with the stick, so I hope they rework it a bit now that there's no touch screen on these new versions).
This was my absolute favorite game of the Wii U / PS4 generation, followed closely by Bloodborne. I'm hella excited to see it's getting a very deserved second chance! Now I'm pretty sure this game will be far superior now that people won't have to misleadinly focus on the touch screen, and play it how it was intended, using the analog sticks. <3
I will be buying this again for sure. <3
And I remember people were saying this would never be on a non-Nintendo platform because Nintendo originally published it. People need to understand that unless a game is made by a first party studio, it's not guaranteed to stay forever on any given platform, no matter who publishes it. A lot can happen with publishing deals. (See: Mass Effect, originally published by Microsoft).
It's funny that you found a simple kiss between 2 girls awkward and gross, but you were probably fine and even excited with all the gore and violence shown in that same trailer.
@exvalos: IGN gave the first game a perfect score, and the remastered edition for the PS4 another perfect score. What are you talking about, really?
The problem is, Nintendo HAS to take action against initiatives like these. That japanese kart company has been profiting using Nintendo's mascots for several years. In fact, a few years ago, they were called MariCar and Nintendo contacted them and told them to cease and desist, or face legal consequences. They ceased and desisted... under the MariCar name, and kept going at it as Mari Mobility.
You can't say they didn't actively look for trouble. Nintendo are f...
No problem as long as you aren't making a profit out of it. That japanese kart company has been profiting using Nintendo's mascots for several years. You mean 4th year, because the Switch turns 3 years old in March.
Probably just new color variants for the Switch Lite, or new bundles with games. Don't get too excited, people.
You mean "if". Not saying it can't happen, just saying the PS4 has sold crazy good, I think it already outsold the Wii, which was Nintendo's best selling home console...
Nah. I am a Nintendo fan, I like the Switch, but its build quality really is disappointing. Plenty of room for improvement for sure.
To make it worse, the Pro Controller (which isn't even a part of the Switch itself) has a terrible d-pad which hasn't been fixed 2 years later. Nintendo are supposed to be the king of d-daps, but everything about the Switch in build seems badly done.
Console loyalties are pretty finicky. Players will jump from one console to another no problem, if the other console offers something exciting one way or another.
This is why the PS2 went from 150 million to 80-something million for the PS3, a sharp decrease, while the original Xbox went from 24 million to about 80 (ok, a few million less than that if we account for the RROD fiasco). A lot of people jumped ship that generation. Same can be said for Nintendo, Gamecube 20 mil...
*Looks at Lost Legacy*
Hella good.
I've liked a lot of console designs for different reasons.
PS2 Slim (especially the silver edition, it was so sexy).
Gamecube, was too cute.
Wii, pretty minimalist and understated, with a pretty cool blue glow.
Xbox 360 Slim, it was just pretty cool looking. Also, the smoothest power button ever made, it was really nice to turn on, lol.
PS4. I got the white model, so damn good looking.
Ouya. Yes, the console was absolute shit...
Apples and oranges much? Both games are amazing within their own categories, comparing one to the other is absurd.
Having said that, yes, I agree that Bloodborne is one of the best games of this decade. It's actually my favorite game of this generation, along with Paladins (yeah yeah weird I know).
Well, PS4 is on track to win this generation, and it was the most powerful base console. Xbox One X doesn't really count as it was a mid-gen upgrade.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Astral Chain, Super Mario Maker 2 and Zelda Link's Awakening were all released this year. Counting Luigi's Mansion 3, this amounts to one good exclusive game every 2 months.
Cute try, though.
If what you are saying was true, the Switch's sales would have dropped off a cliff a few months after release, because Zelda alone can't sustain it. Yet we're 2 and a half years after launch, and the system keeps selling like hotcakes. So you are wrong.
Dude, BOTW was released at the same time on Wii U and Switch. Your post implies it was released on Wii U first and that nobody cared about it until the Switch version was released, which isn't true at all. Both games were released on the Switch's launch day. And of course the majority of people bought the Switch version, just like the majority of people bought the Wii version of Zelda Twilight Princess over the GameCube one.
Their best console ever? Yeah, I think by the end of this generation it may be among Nintendo's best consoles ever, but in my opinion Switch still has quite a way to go before being deemed as better than the SNES. That console had great performance and superb exclusives, along with third party support.
