I figured as much since Microsoft came out early to say sales doubled (for XB1) and didn't mention being number one in the U.S.
DragonKnight,
"The PS3 outsold the Xbox 360 globally every single year since it came out."
You can't even admit when you're wrong. Then when you get called out on it you brush it off and say it was by a small margin. t just goes to show your character and how highly you think of yourself and how much respect you have for everyone else.
"The people that wanted an Xbox One for Halo would have bought one as soon as the MC Collectio...
This is true, other games released outside of Germany didn't get censored. This all lies with Sony, they can release it uncensored in other countries in Europe if they wanted to.
Shake your fist at Sony, other games censored in Germany weren't in other parts of Europe.
It's a $400-$500 investment. so why are some acting like this is a few hundred thousand dollar investment that's supposed to be supported for 20 years like buying a house? It's not like they will stop supporting the XB1 in a year. In fact all major publishers seem to be supporting it just as much as the PS4 and a lot more than the Wii U.
Can ANYONE explain why they see this as an issue when most people support movies being upgraded with better sound and visuals and our music being released on newer formats while the sound can be improved with the latest technology? We are getting better frame rates, improved visuals and better controller response. Don't like the price wait for it to drop. So tell me again what's the problem?
I'm not sure why Sony takes so long to put in features that they talked about last year.
It's amazing how everyone loves to talk about Microsoft not allowing interaction with other platforms. They have with Shadowrun and will also with Project Spark.
Can anyone here name one console game that Sony fans could interact with Nintendo fans online? Yeah, I thought so.
“Star Citizen IS a PC game. It will NEVER be dumbed down for a lesser platform,” said Roberts. “We will NOT limit the input options or supported peripherals to the lowest common deno...
And yet most PC gaming setups use this RAM which still boasts better performance than all the consoles. Last gen consoles are certainly holding back the new ones in some cases. Even a game like Destiny because they want the player to have the same experience across all platforms.
They made them better in the sense they can fix things. Not like the old days. What's worse though is developers rely on this method too much and don't test their games as much as they should. Instead we have become beta testers for them. It is unacceptable how some games have released in the state they were in.
NewMonday, mind showing me where that parity clause is? I think you are confusing it with the release date clause. If there was a parity clause all games would be equal, they are not. I think your hatred and ignorance towards the XB1 is clouding your judgement, along with your obvious bias in favor of the PS4.
It's also worth noting the PC version most often surpasses both the PS4 and XB1 capabilities so if anything consoles are holding back what can be done on the PC.
I would say they did something with Morpheus and they will show a demo.
I guess all the great reviews for this game were paid advertisements then right?
"it's our money funding all the projects, it would seem entitled to complain about things we don't like."
It's called buyer beware and it applies to EVERY game out there. This game was also a reboot, meaning they can change things up if they wish to bring new fans in. They don't have to be tied down to a set formula just because of the name. A reboot all...
The only real complaint as illustrated by IGN is the season pass. If the price is the same and you are getting less content then XB1 owners have a right to complain. Otherwise there really is nothing to complain about.
All of this DLC fragmentation does is divide gamers and that's not really a good tactic from a consumers point of view. From a business point of view it makes more sense though. I guess it all boils down to how good the extra content is.
PC and consoles can and will live in harmony with one another. It's great to see the PC gaming market still thrive but console gaming is far from dead.
The game was actually pretty fun and it got about a 85 on the Metacritic scale. The user Metacritic was only 5.1 but I have to wonder, how many of those that reviewed it actually played the game?
I think this is where the problem lies when gamers feel entitled and get way too involved with the behind the scenes. We see it every day here on N4G how this company doesn't care about us, why this game is terrible, what is wrong with the industry. We've become complainers a...
Do you recall previous consoles having this much emphasis on remasters so soon?
We will see a new Nintendo system within 3 years but it is unknown what Microsoft and Sony will be doing after these systems. Sony looks to be getting into providing services like Playstation Now.
One thing is for sure, the PS3 and XBox 360 have made this new generation fall behind. Many games are still cross generation. The other issues surrounding the new consoles are so many games have slipped into next year while the focus has shifted to indie games. Last but not least i...
You would think people would be happy Microsoft is trying to be number one because that means they will have to work harder than Sony. Isn't that a win win situation? Nothing wrong with having good competition.
@devwan,
I agree but games like Sunset Overdrive is good news IMO. They are investing in 3rd party games, nothing wrong with that at all. Where it becomes an issue is throwing money to keep games away from other systems like what happened with Tit...
High volume? That's hilarious. High volume is something like when Apple releases IOS 7 to hundreds of millions of people, has the PS4 even reached 10 million? So basically PS3 and PS4 PSN user numbers are epidemic.
This used to happen on the PS3, I recall Call of Duty and high volume, yet more copies were sold on the XBox 360 and it wasn't experiencing the same issues. I imagine this is why Sony now charges, so they can invest more into the service.
