The premise of Alan Wake was awesome but I found the actual gameplay quite boring.

Myst?

This game looks very interesting even by how little they have shown.

Very true. The in-app purchases killed this game for me. I deleted it very quickly.

I'm not sure how big of a deal EA Access is in its current state but it's nice they are offering an OPTION to subscribe.

You get to play these games for now as much as you want pending on how long you subscribe, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Peggle 2. Not a huge selection but again it's only $5 a month or $30 a year and the library will change. How often we don't know yet. You will also get access to new games which is a nice perk even if you don&...

What about this?

"In widescreen mode, the screen will scroll. The parts of the screen that get cut off on the top and bottom will scroll into view automatically depending on the character’s position (you can switch the display mode during gameplay in real time)."

Looks like they took some shortcuts. Shadow of the Colossus remastered didn't do that if I recall correctly. They added to the scenes in order to adapt to 16:9.

It does seem kind of odd with the timing of it all. You would think they would have included this DLC on the PS4 game. Maybe it was rushed to fill the void before the other big games come out on the PS4.

Here is an idea of what Sony published game prices are (4 hours, 7 Days 30 Days, 90 Days,

Twisted Metal $2.99 $5.99 $7.99 $14.99
PixelJunk Games $2.99 $3.99 $5.99 $7.99
Killzone 3 $2.99 $5.99 $7.99 $14.99

The 4 hour prices are a joke first off. 7 days and 30 days aren't bad but the again these are all old games. The 90 day prices are often worse than finding them on disk. The other thing is some of these games have been offered through PS+...

There is really no need for Sony to offer them. The system is selling well and right now there isn't much to choose from. Knack should be the first one but I think there is some sort of Metacritic score it has to reach in order to qualify so that won't happen with that game if that's the case.

Driveclub will be free but only part of the game. Good thing people called them out on what they intended too otherwise they planned to lock the game to your PS+ account eve...

Is this what Sony's biggest fans do whom are also Microsoft biggest haters do every time an article says something bad in relation to the Playstation? They immediately go on the defensive and bring up something about Microsoft to deflect?

The people from Guerilla advertised the game as 1080p.

DragonKnight,

"I'm sorry to say though that your point isn't relevant. Comparing EA Access to PS Now in prices still can't be done because the 2 have very different costs and very different delivery systems, also PS Now is a service encompassing a wide array of games from multiple publishers. Sony can only slightly control the pricing that third party publishers place on their games because it's their platform, but they can't outright dictate what the...

Giul_Xainx, when was the last time you played games on the PC? Lots of games use a controller but unlike consoles the PC has the flexibility to use different types of controllers AND keyboard/mouse

One could argue they are both offering videogames for people to have access to other than buying physical copies. Meaning like renting a movie online from the comforts of your own home.

One could argue each offers games that are not brand new to those who want access to older games at a lower cost than buying new games.

One could argue each only provides access not ownership.

The cost comparisons will always be in place no matter how that con...

Console gaming is far from dead, same as PC gaming and we all know the benefits of console gaming. Easier access, hardware parity, and of course console exclusives.

But let's not forget the many benefits pC gaming offers. Most advanced hardware that will give you the best possible experience. Open source which means multiple controllers and k/m options. Free online multiplayer. The largest and more diverse software library. Backwards compatibility. Cheaper games. Easiest ...

For 30 days you can play Battlefield 4, Peggle 2, Madden 25, and FIFA 14 all for $5. How many PS Now games can you play for 30 for the same price?

EA Access games are not streamed, therefore will not be hindered by lower quality content which PS Now does. PS Now is also more susceptible to hiccups and lag for single player experiences since they are being streamed. EA Access games are downloaded to your hard drive.

Does PS Now offer early access play time for...

These new ip's need breathing room. We always see this huge influx in games being released around the same time. I think it's good they are starting to learn it's best to spread them out more. Game looks great so far.

If the hardware keeps improving what is the problem of remaking the game again? We do it for movies and music all the time. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy the game over.

The problem with Capcom is they have yet to improve the series since #4. So as others have said, maybe a reboot is needed.

Unlike most beta's this one costs money so they have every right to review it as it stands. You would think a Beta would cost less than what it will once it's released yet so many are expecting the prices to drop. Does that make any sense, to charge Beta testers more than the final product?
