It's a complete waste and unnecessary.
Now, when can I buy one?

Doing well as in placing as top sellers in the month in multiple lists. I see you didn't mention Helldivers, but that's ok. If you think Xbox is in good shape, good on ya.

Healthy competition is good. With the mega MS purchases and leaked emails, it was looking anything but healthy for a bit. The ideal state would be MS still making consoles, not buying the biggest studios, but actually making better games and innovating. That's clearly not happening unfortunately

With the Pro coming out this holiday and all the recent 3rd party exclusives that have been doing well, things are only going to get worse for Xbox. By the time Indiana Jones comes out will it be too late?

I doubt they paid a lot. The Xbox market for JRPGs is so small.

Man those 20 Final Fantasy fans that still own Xboxes are gonna be so happy!

Prototypes, sure. Unlikely any of them would see the light of day for a number of reasons

Steam Deck is probably only a year away from an updated model that will leap frog Ally, so there will always be that cycle. I definitely prefer the Deck

Windows is bloated and all around sucks even more now with all the tracking and advertising. Anything that's gonna be more than just a niche product for enthusiasts is gonna need to do something like the Steam Deck

"Sell through" is difficult to report, so yeah sometimes stores aren't selling their stock.
But this is different. Try to find one to buy at list price... Not easy in the US. These aren't sitting in store shelves.

I'm with you. It feels like they had bigger plans and then changed their mind. I also felt their decision to not build in compatibility with our purchased PSVR 1 games was a business decision, not a technical one.
I was moving from a Rift S though, where Facebook/Meta screwed us pretty hard so I'm still relatively happy with the move. There's a decent amount of games to play and the headset is really good. But I am disappointed in Sony as I think it could be much better ...

Power to the People! ..oh, wait... GTA? Yeah crunch that sh@$

89d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I bet they didn't have a big team working on active development until more recently. I'm sure before 2022 though as this will be a big game,. Given how much games cost and how risky it is (so many bomb), any fiscally minded CEO would milk that GTA5 success before embarking on 6. Why stop the free money train? The reason we waited is because we kept buying a 12 year old game

If RockStar is still Rockstar, they will have woke characters in the story and will find ways to make fun of them.
Then they will turn around and make fun of the people criticizing the woke characters.
That's what they've done before...biting comedy on both sides, like South Park.
I'm really really hoping they still have that balance. I think they know that's what's expected of them

It's funny - the only reason they can wait so long between games is because GTA5 keeps raking in more money. Any other company would have had to send their people home years ago. Pretty incredible actually - they have had little incentive to make a new game.

@mad is dead on. It sucks for the people that are disciplined, as there are some that work well from home but most do not.
I think there should be a logical solution to it though like work from home jobs get 30% less pay. That way a company can afford a bigger teem to make up for the productivity loss

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

Yeah there's more going on on the interface, for obvious reasons.
Don't know what you mean about seeing games or content you don't own, unless you're looking down in the announcements section or the store. Not like you're getting ads in your face or anything. Start your PS5 and it's still on the game tile you were on when you turned it off.

PS3 interface was slow and simplistic. Remember the store wasn't integrated and took forever to come up? Remember how crappy the chat functionality was and how it was stuck on some side menu?
The PS5 interface is the fastest and most fully featured interface so far. I miss a few things for sure but the UI is moving forward and getting better and more modern. I'm happy with what they've been doing
