Sounds like something resolved with a Direct X update. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me
Agreed, and why they don't have Android / iOS PS Now apps (and killed the Vita app) is a mystery to me.
BTW this is the second time I've seen the statement that Xbox is hemorrhaging users... While I can see why people might assume that's happening, I haven't seen any evidence of it. Look at Battlefield/Battlefront user counts for example - PS4 users leading but the gap appears to be holding steady.
While I happen to fall into the "going into PC gaming vs. getting an X1x" category, I really can't see mainstream gamers doing this. Unless you happen to be upgrading your PC for other reasons, it's an expensive proposition just to play games.
Checkerboard 4k 60 FPS almost Epic settings on PS4 Pro which will have been out for a year and at least $100 cheaper with VR capabilities?
PS4 owners getting their money's worth.
We at Microsoft like multi-player games. And actually we like single player games too. And we're really really focusing on them. All of them. Focusing on talking about every aspect of community and bringing people together kumbaya best place to play and all that.
Right. Sony had more PC / console cross play than anyone (might still be the case), and now MS is acting like they invented it. At this point MS seems desperate to keep users from leaving to Sony due to friends leaving, so they need cross play to stop the bleeding. If the shoe were on the other foot, MS wouldn't care. Anyone with history on MS knows they don't open things up until their back is against the wall...

Does it really need to be #1 or doom and gloom for Xbox? Maybe they'll be fine without as many exclusives and people loyal to Xbox will still have plenty of games to play. Look at the Surface tablets... They aren't beating out Android or iOS, but they're out there and people like them. Personally I've moved to Sony for my console experience, but it's not like MS is about to go bankrupt next year or anything. There are probably a lot of people that like buying American too,...
Personally, I play a great deal of ps4 exclusives so it's a big deal to me. But honestly if all I had was an Xb1, I'd be really excited about the Xb1x, even if all I got access to was third party titles. There are plenty of reasonably good games to play...
If you look at the Amazon best sellers list for video games, you'll see this. It's been getting worse throughout the year. And that's just the US site I've been looking at. I've gotta think it's worse outside of the US. It's not just the consoles it's the game sales as well...
PSVR pretty please!
Extremely powerful and far more accomplished. Get a room, gamingbolt
Right. I played through Ryse right around the same time, and thought they were similar in certain ways...eye candy and fun, not ground breaking. But the visuals in The Order, holy crap they were the best. Spent like an hour in photo mode.
That's better than just an apology. Props to Sean and his team for at least trying to remedy the situation. Personally I'm hoping to have a good reason to jump back in, multi-player or not...
It could have been a big step but sometimes Sony can't seem to figure out how to take great technology over the finish line. Where are the Android/iOS clients, marketing, multiple devices? Except for the lack of buttons, the Vita client works brilliantly, yet it's getting discontinued. I really don't get what Sony is doing here. I don't want to stream old games in low resolution on my ps4 pro/4k, but I'd be happy to do it on a portable.
Probably not as much incentive for Microsoft to spin up the hype machine before customers can even order it. Before it's available I'm sure we'll see plenty of ads and articles from their partners hyping it up more.
Sony should have just come clean and said they won't agree to having users create and log into an Xbox Live account on a Sony system. I wouldn't doubt if there are other reasons, but that's the most obvious one imo...
Wow lots of PS exclusives.
Sure, Microsoft is gonna be fine as a company, but Xbox as a division would be impacted. I don't believe the core console gamers are gonna move to PCs, but if they did it would certainly impact Xbox revenue. As a Windows 10 gamer, I just paid $15 for a Win 10 license and that's it. If I happen to buy something from the Xbox store vs. Steam (most ppl use Steam) MS gets a cut, but if I were on Xbox, they'd get my Gold subscription along with a cut of EVERY game. But any way, I don...
