Even with a 4k display I'm not seeing noticeable differences here without the magnification, sorry.
I agree. Nitpicking, but PS3 was actually more powerful than the 360, but had a weird parallel architecture that was hard to develop for.
It still matters. But as resolution goes up, the ability for your eye to discern the differences goes down - our eyes don't have infinite resolution. That's why you either need a bigger screen or get closer to your screen to tell. That's not an opinion, so I'm not advocating one console over another, I'm just pointing out a fact...
We can't even run 4k at the required 90-120fps needed for VR with conventional PCs. Some people are gonna be ripped off here
X: 1656p-2016p
Pro: 1350p-1584p
Looks like vast majority of Ubi's sales are in US and Europe. Maybe there are a lot of Asian gamers that aren't drawn to Ubi's games that might explain the difference. Lots of games on the ps4 don't appeal to the average western audience...
Strategy for second place: do everything your competitor to does years later. Wear cool t-shirts while doing so.
That's more than double the pro pixels! Wow. Wonder if this will be consistent across titles, or if this is just poorly promised optimized for the Pro...
I disagree with the marketing for PS4 Pro being superior. At least from what I've seen in the US, Sony has done VERY little to market the Pro and its capabilities. Actually, in general their marketing is kinda weak. I think MS is way better at generating hype and marketing. They do good guerilla marketing with their mouthpieces as well - so much better and more active than Sony. Also better at ensuring good product placement in big US stores like Best Buy...
Yea, hard to not say that's a bad sign.
What size 4k TV do you have?
The differences are not big enough to warrant their commentary, even when you use their image magnifier. At least in my opinion...
Gotta love the pie chart that has the Original XB1(not for sale anymore) selling as much as the XB1S. Hmmmm.... Also, there almost definitely will be a sale on Pros this holiday. Will a $500 console sell as much as a $350 console that, even though we obsess about native 4k, most consumers will consider to be pretty similar? Should be interesting...
The part that's going against the grain I think is tailoring to a higher-end gamer with a bigger budget. The part that's not is essentially doing what Sony did a year ago.
Have you tried a force feedback wheel on GTS? It's phenomenal imo. Driveclub and Forza7 (PC) have a completely different kinda jerky/sloppy feel with the wheel. Maybe can be fixed with settings...
I agree the camera shake captures the insanity of high speed nicely in Driveclub. Don't know if it's realistic per se since I've never driven that fast. But the cars up ahead look so blurry now compared to GTS on a Pro
If you have a large 4k screen and a Pro, you may be disappointed. I tried Driveclub after GTS and was surprised how spoiled I've gotten with the enhanced graphics. Probably not a big deal if you have a1080p TV.
It's funny how terms er... evolve over time. 1080p got muddied with "dynamic", "temporal", etc. So native meant locked 1080p. Then 4k gets muddied by "dynamic" and "checkerboard", so comes "True 4k", which then gets muddied, and now our last resort of "Native 4k" is being muddied by including dynamic res. I suggest "Honestly locked 4k all the time no tricks" as our next term 😊
nX - I noticed the force feedback on my T300 RS was much more controlled in GTS than Driveclub. The steering assist was actually helpful for learning how to drive better...
Time will tell, but I think after the novelty wears off, Switch will have a problem with AAA 3rd party like Vita did. But the big difference is that Nintendo has a huge following of people that will buy whatever to play their great 1st party games.
