And the team that I'm sure put countless hours and energy into making it happen.
I guess good for the Japanese titles. No chance of it getting Rocket League or anything big in the Western world unfortunately.
I know we all have our favorites, but competition is good for all of us. The more successful MS is the more Sony will innovate. I know we treat these companies like football teams sometimes, but don't wish failure for the green team. They're keeping Sony on their toes.
Sure but you gotta use something. I have a GTX 1080 that runs shadow of war ultra settings locked 2160p with framerates always north of 40fps. GOW4 ultra locked 2160 is even better, often hitting 60fps. Easily 30% better framerates when compared to DF's published numbers for XB1x. For the price xb1x is incredible though, don't get me wrong...
GTX 1080: 9 tflops
X1x: 6 tflops
Ps4 Pro: 4 tflops
X1x is about as close to gtx 1080 as a Pro is to it
I can vouch for 1440 looking considerably better than 1080 on a big 4k screen, so it's not like there's NO purpose. If you're buying new, is it worth about $150 to go up from 1080 to 1400. it would be to me. would it be worth another $100 to go up to, say 1800 - 2300? it would be to me. but people have choices, and that's good. it's not like the xb1x and the ps4 pro are the same price and came out at the same time or anything... choice is good
Beastly is the word of the year
VR is the only thing getting me to play this game again - it's pretty awesome. Out of all the game sites I disagree with IGN most often for some reason
When they took Vita out as a client, I stopped paying. They could have expanded to phones and tablets and done Netflix for games, but they pissed it all away. I don't need to play old games on my PS4 in low res.
I've gotten used to using the move controllers with turn buttons. Granted I'd love a thumbstick, but I don't think it's that bad
It's crazy. MS really delivered this time. I'm looking forward to DF explaining why the advantage is so much greater than the hardware specs suggest.
Yea I don't think this author knows that PS4 did cross-play with PC before Xbox or Switch were part of the picture for Rocket League. Still sucks they won't cross play with other consoles, granted.
Nintendo IPs are kinda like Disney Land and Sony's IPs are like Universal Studios...
And I think you guys might agree that Mario and Zelda have a fan following that probably eclipses any IP Sony and MS have. I mean, it's kinda unreal...
I half-reluctantly pulled the trigger on my Amazon pre-order yesterday. I don't have the time to dive back into that world but I guess I'm doing it anyway. Goodbye wife and kids...
I have a comp sci degree and am an actual developer. I've done it from an armchair as well, which is why your poorly thought out quarterback analogy doesn't work.
If you want more laughs, check your grammar.
Of course the hardware can't change but there may be API/software bottlenecks that are causing the unexpectedly high (100%) resolution differences we're seeing. Also, perhaps some small gains to be had in better checkerboarding and the FP16 thing, but of course they won't get to parity, maybe just close the gap a bit. Try not to be such a turd, BTW.
I think this is true on multiple levels. The competition might drive Sony to help game devs get the most out of the Pro so as to make the x-advantage as negligible as possible. Should be better than the limited attention the Pro has been getting thus far...
Smart move supporting low spec devices. Would they be so bold to port to switch at some point?
