Yeah there were rumors that made it sound like treyarch didn't have enough time to plan or whatever. Glad to see them deliver
Agreed. And SO much of it coming to GamePass. If by some miracle it stays at $10/month (PC) this holiday, I'll be in for sure now that COD is included.
Really interested in the movement innovation. I agree with them that we might come to expect that in all FPS games going forward.
Yeah that show was awesome.
Well they're still pushing the message that consoles have a future at Xbox. They're not dead yet.
I mean mainstream gamers. Sounds like you have cool friends.
I love the handheld market but let's face it- it's kinda a niche market. As pumped as I am about these, all my "normal" friends and even my kids want nothing to do with it.
Steam deck is my nerdvana. Technical marvel getting all those games to run under Linux, constant updates from valve, built in support for under locking, the list goes on. Absolutely love it
Is it implied that "console wars" refers to the fans warring vs. the war the platform holders are constantly in?
Obviously the platform holders have been at war and will be as long as they have to compete for our dollars.
The next Xbox will have CoPilot AI to play their boring games for you
Ugh. Can we make Aloy any less interesting for adults?
Lies of P
I still expect a price increase in GP to compensate but who knows. With all the factors in play like COD points there are too many variables for someone on the outside to predict what will happen. I assume they have a forecast model where this all looks peachy.
From MS financial perspective I think it may be the opposite.
A year of GamePass on PC is less than the price of two full price games. For all the people that would have bought COD for $70 but instead started subbing for GP, MS will get an extra $50/year which is good.
However, for each banger that MS puts out, that's lost potential revenue because the GP sub won't need to buy it.
So it only makes sense where the new GP customers would have otherwise not s...
There's a big difference between Apple and Microsoft imo. If you think MS has it in them to innovate like that and produce something truly inspirational, then fine, it's good to have hope.
I don't have a lot of confidence in that. A niche handheld market won't warrant a ton of R&D and you only have to look as far as the XSX to see how uninspired their products have been.
I wonder how many ppl would get this just for VR porn. Probably could get by using a garden variety laptop for that...
I think they didn't profit which if why they aren't investing much into it. I bet there were heated discussions as to whether they should even bother releasing PSVR2 at all.
Given the alternative of scrapping it, I'm glad they at least did something, as there are good games out there
But even with PSVR 1, and all those games they funded, it never really took off.
I can't see any viable option on the handheld front.
I don't think they'd invest in bespoke chipsets to actually play Xbox games because that's a lot of investment to get a small slice of already diminishing customer base.
If they just made a Windows handheld on the other hand, what's the point? Asus and others are already doing that. They'd be late to the party.
There's definitely no sign of them investing more into it at this point
Gotta wonder if any of the others will come to PS as well... Wish we'd know what their strategy is at this point
