Doesn't sound like something Nintendo would do either- they know how valuable being cheap is.

(Edit) Perhaps not "cheap" but "affordable".

I have so much respect for Bioshock as a series.

As long as BF3 and other EA games are still available on Steam. I've made my bed with Steam and I want to sleep in it.

Why is everyone sympathetic to the mega corporation? Sony can handle themselves- just look where they are today. Demand more of the companies you give so much money to. Always demand more. Certainly don't feel sorry for them.

My friends and I all bought and played Minecraft, but I soon lost interest- sure there's lots of space and freedom to build structures, but there isn't enough "stuff". Hard to explain, but yeah.

I wish Terraria had come along a few weeks earlier as I would have definitely chosen it as the cheaper, more focused game of the 2. Now all my friends have committed to Minecraft and aren't interested.

@StolenSoul

I definitely agree that the CoD series has had consistent singleplayer campaigns. I've played a considerable amount of Bad Company multiplayer, though couldn't bring myself to keep playing the dire campaign. So badly written that it hurt, no tact whatsoever.

I'm only going to be picking up BF3- CoD's singleplayer may be good, but will inevitably be short and the game retails for just too much to make it worth it.

Kinect, yeah, just as useless as Move. But don't bring the Wii down with those piles of horseshit, There are so many amazing Wii games, only a fool would ignore them- Move and Kinect have no amazing games.

Nice list.

They could pull a 2010 Nintendo- now that was a conference, perfect balance of everything. My eyes are on Nintendo again.

I'd definitely disagree with the Dualshock being the best- its all well and good, but it is very small and the left stick is in the wrong place- as the primary mode of control, it should be placed where the D Pad is, like the Gamecube controller (and others), which definitely is my favourite controller ever. The stick was also shamelessly tacked on following the release of the Nintendo 64, hence its stupid position.

The Wii Remote is very nice though, it feels great to ho...

Its one of those games that when you've played it, you become jealous of people like you who are going to play it for the first time!

Yep, Alan Wake was brilliant, definitely one of my favourites this generation. Wish they'd port it to PC so I could play it again

As far as the industry is concerned, this is a biggie- probably the most consistently brilliant series in games. The critics love it and I'm sure other developers can't wait to see more too. I'm pumped for sure, but I want a proper Skyrim demonstration and maybe some Bioshock Infinite stuff.

Really? You're using my own internet alias and something that if were a reflection of my orientation, I would be totally proud of, as a way of trying to mock me?

It didn't work in any way at all.

Unless of course you mean my post is the sort of thing someone called Chris would say, then yeah, damn straight.

Yeah, I think people will have learned a lot from this as far as the information they submit not only to PSN, but other services as well and it does seem a no brainer for most players to get back to playing some games. I have some friends who are actually quite happy about the issue, having got Wipeout and Infamous for nothing- can't complain too much.
I'm not saying that's the wrong way of looking at it, just it isn't how I look at it is all. Maybe I just have trust i...

Regardless of how good their security was beforehand, the fact remains, it happened and I find it hard to trust any person or company that lets me down, especially when the attempts to make up for it are poor.
My logic isn't that I avoid services where my information is at risk- my logic is that I avoid services where my information has already been compromised. It isn't about risk, it is about the principle- they let me down. Not to mention the fact that the services you used...

I don't have my PS3 anymore, but my information was compromised and therefore, I won't be looking at buying a future Playstation product for some time. Call me bitter, but no other service has effed me over like that.
It wasn't just that the online service was down for a few weeks, it was a case of many users trusting Sony to look after their information and them failing; only providing a few old games as compensation.
I know if I still had my PS3 I'd be thinki...

Molyneux is the industry's number 1 salesman- he can flog mediocre game after mediocre game as if they're sent by God.
He's an important part of the canon for sure and I can appreciate the work he's done, but Miyamoto blows him out of the water in terms of impact and overall consistency of fantastic output. A more apt comparison is to Todd Howard, who is also a western RPG designer- far more daring and inventive; his games are of such a better quality than Molyneux and...

Hardly free, PSN users have put up with a lot of shit that they paid for. If I had to choose between receiving second copies of (admittedly good) games in return for my information being god knows where or my information being kept secure from the start, I know which I'd choose. I sold my PS3 a while back so the downtime isn't even an issue for me, but my information for a service I don't even use anymore has been compromised and the only compensation is games I can't even pla...
