I want a cameo of Don Draper in every game from this point on!
Seems like a nice, down to Earth chap. His comments on interpretation of art and "the art of production" are nice arguments. Love Mad Men to bits and would be oh so excited for L.A. Noire, had the seemingly obvious decision to release the title for the PC been made.
I hope it is always an optional extra. I've spent my life playing games and watching films happily without headaches and with my regular glasses on (1 pair of glasses is too much). And for me, 3D is still absolutely a gimmick- give me any 2D classic film or game over some 3D shit heap.
If my 360 had ever got RROD, I would have sent it off with the extended warranty they provided and I'd have it back soon enough, no skin off my back besides a few days or weeks without playing some games.
I don't even have my PS3 anymore and the hack has me really worried. My PSN payment details are long expired, but if my 360 had failed, a group of hackers and and anybody they fancy selling it to wouldn't have a scary amount of my information.
I bought it recently and my friends and I set up a multiplayer server. For a day or two I was hooked, then nothing- totally bored with it. Really dissapointed, 15 Euros down the drain.
Just ordered all the components to build a Mini ITX gaming PC ready for Skyrim, BF3 and Bioshock Infinite next year and just yesterday I was talking to some friends about how this is long overdue.
"...We explore... and you call us criminals. We seek after knowledge... and you call us criminals. We exist without skin color, without nationality, without religious bias... and you call us criminals. You build atomic bombs, you wage wars, you murder, cheat, and lie to us and try to make us believe it's for our own good, yet we're the criminals. Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look ...
They're not losers, not power mad, not wannabe heroes and who cares if they may have some extra time on their hands? They're using that time to do something they love (hacking) to make a point they believe strongly in. And I'm suprised so many people don't support them; this is a just cause.
Both film and game are totally unnecessary additions to their respective industries.
I don't like the excuse that a PC costs a lot to play great games. Everyone (on here at least) has to own a PC; when you're making the inevitable upgrade, just spend a little extra (less than the price of one of the consoles) to buy a nice graphics card and then you're laughing.
Just like every year, they'll announce them at E3 and then the games will release.
This time last year, everyone wouldn't shut up about LBP2, Last Guardian, Resistance 2, SOCOM, Killzone etc all being 2010 releases and how PS3 was set to rock the casbah, yet those same games are being used to call 2011 the year of the PS3. Microsoft doesn't announce a game for fans to hype to destruction for years on end.
Very disappointing effort at being witty. Oh well, keep trying champ.
Nice lineup for both- PS3 obviously stronger, but that's a lot of sequels.
A shop, recommending an expensive, peripheral based game; what a suprise...
I'd love it if they really were struggling- might force a price drop and I'm so desperate for a Wii these days- this year has been mad sick for Wii games.
I hope it follows Rising's lead as a multiplatform, I sold my PS3 soon after the Rising announcement as I needed the cash, but the Metal Gear series is by far, my favourite gaming series ever.
I think its unfair to write off the Wii because of all the shovelware- there are still a ton of great games, regardless of how many bad games there are.
Who knows, maybe 343 can make even better Halo games. Maybe.
Or maybe they were waiting for a PS3 announcement, seeing as it was being rumored every couple of week. Now that announcement has come, but maybe for some PS3 owners, it isn't enough.
It is a very relevant point and makes complete sense- you have the choice of playing Mass Effect 2 on your PS3 or playing both games on PC/360, although in my opinion Mass Effect 1 is not worth spending that much money for.
It upsets me. Writing such as this is publishable? The internet is proof in itself that everyone doesn't deserve a voice on the internet. Not only is it terribly written, there's a clear lack of subject knowledge. Awful.
