There are already aspects that make it almost impossible to trust and use Windows/MS Store as the source of your games. The fact that these games are done in away that makes modding almost impossible.
Sure, it's lovely that MS are bringing Xbox exclusives over. But I'm with Sweeny in not trusting them with the Windows store. They need to open it up a little, stop limiting and locking down the games and give an incentive, even if that's just good customer service and a goo...

Have to see how it turns out in that case. It's easy to say it'll have a robust skill system, but too many games throw in a load of skills just to say they've got that choice and selection, even though the skills tend to be worthless.

Getting the game, provided it lives up to expectations, on as many systems as possible can only be a good thing. So long as they don't overstretch themselves!

Already preordered Collectors Editions of a few games for next year, but Horizon will be the one in the first quarter. There are other games, but then again, the first quarter is three months so hopefully they'll be spread around a bit.

It's an admirable target to aim for. Hope they do achieve it. A decent company and game that deserves to expand itself towards the consoles!

Certainly looks interesting. Clarification is nice on the game, plus the fact that it offers assymetric multiplayer should offer something interesting. Have to see how it plays out.

Looks fantastic really and if Marvel are truly interested in going into games, expanding both what they've done in the Cinematic and TV universe they've built up, then I can't see it being anything but a great thing. Especially if they work to make actual tie-ins (something that is, granted, lacking between film and tv).

My only concern, being a natural cynic, is that while they say that it's all in-game footage, is that in-game as in on the PC's they...

I can understand Zelda. I think it's been a stagnant franchise for a while but I can't help but be impressed by Breath. I'm almost tempted to get a NX just for it!

I preferred Sonys as a whole, a lot better variety and quality than MS' in my opinion.

If it works like the first and improves on the formula, I can see Dishonored becoming the replacement for Thief - especially after the Thief reboot.

I don't doubt that there were interested parties. The Fabe IP is just worth more to MS than Lionhead were and I bet MS either tried to sell Lionhead without the IP or asked for too much. Still, if MS see a future in Fable I believe they'll end up rebooting it, the IP is damaged after some bad outings.

Well, Sony will benefit regardless. They will keep it as a PS exclusive in the console market, profit from sales on the PC as the publisher. Not only that, but they garner the goodwill of Kojima and his studios, paving the way for a long term partnership in the same way they have worked with Insomniac Games.

What'll be interesting is to see if Sony own the IP rights in the same say they do Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, Dark Souls/Bloodborne and such as that.

I so want to look forward to this but the fact that it's looking like it's got an open world, three distinct areas, all with large climable ruins/forts - I'm just getting the feeling it's going to be "Another Ubisoft Game". I so home i'm wrong, really, and maybe the combat will be as good as they're making it out to be!

I suppose it's interesting, but like Halo Wars, this will be hampered and be an undeniably bad strategy game due to being designed with a controller in mind. I'd love it to be good, I want every game to be good, but I've just never known a strategy game be well functional when built with a controller in mind.

Though the PC version could be its own entity and be great. Have to wait and see!

Well the PC will always have that variety to think about whereas consoles are rigid. Now if they'd just set themselves a minimum spec early on and work with that - maybe even line it up with that of consoles, then they can't fail. The higher settings will then cater for those with more powerful systems.

After the first game I'll be holding off on this. I'll eventually play it, but it's not going to be a SE or early day buy.

A Windows 10 store exclusive. Well normally I would argue that something made by a third party but being limited to W10 store exclusive, completely ignoring MS' saying that they weren't trying to make a walled garden, is a load of rubbish, I can't exactly argue when they fully funded it themselves.

I'm looking forward to State of Decay 2. First was brilliant, even if they did double dip with the re-release they made. Not a big problem when they did it on the...

Fair enough, PC will always be better for a shooter, it's perfectly natural. Then again, they have gimped it for us ultrawide monitor users, which I'm not exactly fond of.

There's been stories on how useful it is and the other side of the argument as well. It's early days with it anyway, we'll see how useful it is as more and more use is got out of it.

I can't argue with the wait and see approach, but somebody has to take the leap. I like the VR from having used both the Oc and Vive, I will eventually buy one of them (Vive) but it's a big expenditure.

I've no problems with the gameplay, they were always entertaining in their own rights. I just never bought into it all about them practically being the next best thing to sex with all the rampant high scores. I found the stories dull and shallow at best, characters the same, games were saved by decently entertaining gameplay and great visuals.
