Hmm. It can lower FPS in some cases isn't a definite, but it's pretty certain to if they've given that warning. The best idea would be to allow normal PS4 owners to opt out of it, or at least make two parallel updates that you can choose from. One for normal PS4 owners and one for us PS4 pro owners.

The quicker the better for them, RL is an insanely popular game that helps any console it's on and being the best it can on a platform increases sales and, of course, the loot box sales (that I still dislike)

The inclusion of a system like MGS 5's FOB is still a big dissapointment, but something I can still applaud them for not including the scourge that are lootboxes.
Having to clarify that it's a spinoff is strange though, I thought that was pretty self explanatory.

That's a fairly large number. Be interesting to see if that is actually the case, analyst numbers can be fairly out at times. Have to wait and see the results from Nintendo's financial results

Although CD Projekt Red has had it's issues with reputation of how it treats employees lately, this is a pure sign of a company that knows how to treat consumers. They actually improve and build games up, where other, richer companies just shit on gamers and attempt to milk them for everything they can. Hell, I'm waiting for the ultra-hd copies of such as BF1, COD WW2 etc to be released, at full price.

Downright abysmal. It's only the one game, but hopefully Sony will have learned from it. Doubting that though, since Ubisoft still haven't figured out that setting games to require an internet connection is pointless when their servers are always faulty.

Pretty gutsy of Kurt though, could annoy his Sony overlords!

Sorry uth, but you couldn't be more wrong. You can avoid loot boxes and not spend money on them because traditionally they don't contain core game elements - granted, Activision and EA are determined to make it so aspects that impact gameplay are included now.

As for loot boxes not costing more, there are enough people spending hundreds or thousands on loot boxes in Overwatch, the Fifa Ultimate Team Packs and more. EA's financial reports indicated the success o...

I'm fairly outspoken on my thoughts on Loot Boxes, and this just proves what I've been saying all along. Companies can't keep their grubby mitts away from anything that screws the consumer over. Bungie and Activision are abysmal, particuarly with Destiny 2 which is purely a game to milk as much extra out of people in any way possible.

Honestly, were it up to me the game would be just destroyed. It's just been a sign of the avarice and anti-consumerism that i...

Nah, far from a decent alternative. Loot boxes end up costing more due to the predatory nature of them. Season passes at least pay for extra content (maps etc) where loot boxes pay for nothing apart from shareholders extra yachts.

Be interesting to see how well it runs on Switch. Good that they've really worked on the PS4 pro version, upping it to 60fps on 4K.

Interesting with MS having a talk at D.I.C.E. Sounds like it'll be more the company bigging themselves up, which is to be expected, but may get some ideas of what the plans are for the future.

Pure mouthpiece talk. He doesn't want to piss off the new paymasters, which I can't blame him for. He's not exactly going to say "I look forward to a few years of productive work, then a few more of menial crap before Electronic Arts absorbs the husk that once was Respawn Entertainment"

From what I got to play at EGX, I'm somewhat impressed with Origins. It did suffer from some fairly large framerate issues on the PC version I played, but that should hopefully be ironed out before release. A focus on historical accuracy, at least with the pyramids and location, should be nice. As for collectibles, I'm sure they'll have replaced them with some other asinine thing.

I loved it, can't praise it enough myself. A good example to use of a company that branched out to make an excellent game as well.
However, Bethesda haven't exactly proven themselves outside of TES or Fallout though. Hell, their only none TES or Fallout game in the past 15 years that they developed, not published, was a drag racing game, back in 2004. It's time they did branch out.

Can't see how they have a right to complain. It's not like they invented the concept, all they've done is refine it. Now, Epic are just going to attempt to refine it even further. This is what competition is and considering Bluehole have put in the F2P gambling boxes in PlayerUnknown, I have no sympathy nor empathy for them.

I don't think I'll ever understand Sony now. Openly supporting crossplay is a fantastic thing and any game that supports it is only getting marked up in my eyes. Fair play to MercuryStream, as well as offering the prologue for free, which can act as a demo for those unsure if they'll like the game.

Should it work and not be part of the lovely gated windows live area, then it's an absolutely fantastic idea. I genuinely hope that it isn't limited to their own little garden anyway and if it isn't, Microsoft will have gained some huge support from me. I may even use the W10 store then!

That's a good thing to hear. Too much focus has been placed on multiplayer titles over the past number of years. Ori was/is a bloody brilliant game too, so fair play to it.

It's Gamestop, so I hate to say it but any trade offer they give you is likely not really worth it - considering the profit margins the companies like Game (UK) and Gamestop (US) make on pre-owned items.

I have to be that guy and say that no matter what improvements they put in this, It'll never hold up to the Forza Horizon games. Interesting new feature though, hopefully it'll work out well and not have too big of an impact on systems, particularly that of the Xbox One X.
