Sounds awesome. But, then again, I thought this game was awesome from the first moment I saw it back at PAX East.
While this game doesn't technically come out in the fall, it is probably right at the top of my list of games to get this fall seasons, even above all the bigger titles. I loves me some Valkyria Chronicles, even if it is in itty-bitty form on the PSP.
I have no rhythm, so I find it hard even playing the drums in Rock Band. Guitar is no problem though. These games are also great at introducing people to new music and new genres that the might not have tried out before.
To me it is more about relating to the character than anything as far as game play goes. I suppose game play is more important in FPS games and such, which all have a strong multi-player component and no one cares about the (usually) crappy single-player campaign anyway.
But, when story takes front and center of the entire game experience, I prefer characters I can relate to - it doesn't matter if they'r Caucasian, African American, female, whatever. As long as they h...
There does seem to be an unbalancing going on with who the protagonists are in the games we play. I suppose both strong female characters and minorities are up there. I'd like to see more of both, actually.
Does it affect me, the games I play and my connection to the characters? Not really.
The guy is crazy if he thinks he can win this suit...especially when it was him who caused all his issues.
I'll repeat here what I said in the podcast: The minute I need to be stoic when performing this job is when I don't want to do it anymore. Mindless, emotionless reporting is simply not the way to go.
Looks to be a great Spider-Man title. Think what happened to Batman with Arkham Asylum could happen to Spider-Man with this title?
Looks like Black Ops will be pretty darn good, from what I'm seeing.
This is still a worthwhile game to play through, at least once. Although I'd recommend the PC version, as the other two are apparently a bit lackluster for various reasons - mostly graphical.
Them choosing a female lead is also rather intriguing, especially in a world of bulky male-dominated main characters in Western titles.
I really enjoyed him talking about where they got the inspiration for these games.
I agree, it's interesting that there is no multiplayer support, but I like it. This frees up the developer to focus more on the story aspects of the title.
I hardly use YouTube as-is, for anything other than watching game trailers and such that I can't find elsewhere.
Looking good, better than the first one anyway.
I'm actually a fan of Crystal Dynamics' other titles in this franchise, but I'm not a fan of top down games, so I'm not quite sure about this one yet.
I kind of want this controller, actually. Been wanting to buy a new 360 controller for a while.
Fun in the sun and a bunch of big, sweaty dudes. Good times all around.
I actually agree with you, each person has their own gaming style and their own opinions. This is one man's opinion. I do think Kinect will be great for a certain demographic, but it isn't necessarily MY demographic, so, I tend to lean more towards Kinect falling by the wayside.
Castle Crashers definitely is a worthy title to pass up Shank for, although both are great buys.
