Are they finally going to give us something to do with our fancy new avatar instead of standing around in our own quarters look pretty?
I know I'm not, but I always thought that was just me...
As much time as I spent in Oblivion over the years, I never once bought that blasted horse armor.
Unfortunately, I think most people who left Champions Online and went to DCUO are kicking themselves about now. But, that's just me...
Really looking forward to it hitting the PS3 for a couple reasons:
1) I don't have a Kinect and so it didn't seem right to buy it just to play it with a regular controller on the 360.
2) It'll give me a reason to dust off my Move controllers.
This is pretty great news. I really enjoyed Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. In fact, it's probably one of my favorite JRPGs on the PSP. So, I'm really looking forward to the possibility of XSEED bringing more of the franchise over to the West.
This is a great start to at least show that gamers in general are interested in it.
When was print alive? 1992?
I could use me some more Ratchet and Clank, it's been a while.
Anything with "Twisted" and "Insane" in the title has to be good, right? :)
I think it'll be even worse off for Nintendo come the Wii U launch because everyone saw what they did with the blasted 3DS price drop only a few months after launch.
I love the concept of EVE Online, always have. Just too many MMOs out there to try out and I have to limit myself to one or two.
I played this a bit back at PAX, and I can certainly see the fun aspect being just the weapon combos and killing big bugs. At least, that's what I took away from it. Sometimes, if you have a purely FUN game, the visuals being "average" don't really matter much. ;)
I like how they're so adamant about that point. It shows what one of their goals is going forward too. Of course, they've always been pretty "hardcore", but with Nintendo and now Microsoft focusing heavily on the more casual crowd, I'm glad Sony is making a statement, for both Starhawk and for their platform in general.
@Xof
You call it being a "apologist", I call it truth. From the bottom, the only way to go is up. The game actually, truly, genuinely is a lot better now than it was when it launched. I love the spirit and style of FFXI, and that carries over into FFXIV, which is a huge draw for me and many fans.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and bet you're a WoW fanboy or something. WoW is on the complete other end of the spectrum from FFXIV as far as ...
Interesting. Now it should work the other way around too. ;)
I'm going to go with this. Yes, it does seem like an RPG, regardless of what Capcom is calling it, but there are much better and more intricate titles in this same fantasy genre hitting about the same time - like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - and I have a feeling it's going to be overshadowed.
Also, Monster Hunter for PS3 - yes, please!
Not surprising. If this takes off, it may create an interesting competition between Best Buy and GameStop to see who can give the customer better value for their trade ins. I suppose that only helps the customer.
I actually like Zelda, but to be honest, Nintendo is being a bunch of bullies over this, so I'm going to find it hard to buy Zelda out of principle.
It's kind of like the whole Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D thing that Capcom did. I know people who are all over the RE franchise, but just can't in good conscience justify buying it when they have that stupid save restriction in place.
Agreed. It's kind of interesting seeing a game developer taking part in the world of the game he creates so much, and loving it. It's great.
Certainly looking forward to the sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia, and the new IP looks interesting, as well, if for nothing else than the fact that you don't see NIS America publishing Xbox 360 and PC titles very often.
