I've actually never played Tekken, but this history of the franchise was quite impressive to read through.
Good impressions, nice video. Can't say I'm looking forward to it, as it isn't my type of game, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
True, but there needs to be more. Are game developers just at a loss as to how to design stories around female characters, or do they just not want too because they fear they'll lose that all-important "male demographic"?
I frankly don't see why there aren't more strong, down-to-earth women fronting up RPGs, instead of being either relegated to supporting roles or stuck in one stereotype or another.
I like that they listened to player feedback, and the four-person split screen is an awesome addition. Although, I still think it is weird when it is mentioned that this is a multiplayer FPS title for the Wii. Just seems like such an oxymoron. ;)
Yeah, it only blows up computers. ;) Kidding!
Blizzard is in with video card manufactures to get people to spend more money. I wouldn't put it past them.
It is definitely a different experience for someone who hasn't been too active with RTS games in the past, let alone StarCraft specifically. I also really admire that Blizzard worked hard to give new players a decent experience in trying to learn the game.
Yeah, that's the way I would pronounce it too. ;)
NISA has always been pretty solid on the localization front. I've played previous games in both the Ar Tonelico franchise and the Atelier franchise, so these upcoming titles should be well done in that regard.
Completely agree. When Cataclysm hits is probably the best time since the game launched for a brand new player to jump in.
The depth and detail Blizzard has put into these new starting areas is starting to creep me out - in a good way! I also really like the detail in the new character models (this goes for the worgen, too). I only hope at some point they update the old race character models to these new standards.
This game actually is interesting to me. If the story lives up to what the developers say it will, I might have to look into this. I love the art style, too.
This has less of a chance of happening if it is an RPG. I remember saying up all night playing FFIV and taking two days off work to play FFX for almost 48 hours straight. ;)
While the flair for Kinect seems lackluster compared to Sony and Nintendo's showings, you can't say they failed just because they catered to a demographic you don't find yourself in.
Any game that adds in local co-op is a plus in my book.
This has the possibility to be very awesome, a great way to use Move technology in a "hardcore" application.
Healthy competition is better than being at each other's throats.
It does seem a bit odd to have two separate games...
GameStops tend to be either great, or horrible. The one I frequent is great. Never in the many years I've been going there have they ever done anything to screw me over. Not a thing. I know some good people who work at GameStop, as well.
But, overall, I do think their policies and general hostile atmosphere need some serious reconsidering, to say the least.
