Sony has a lot up it's sleeves, so to speak. Everything about the PS3 has improved in the last year or so.
I got two of these emails today. Comes with every wave of beta invites. :(
I will be all over this game once it comes out later this month. I've been looking for a reason to dust off my Wii!
I think sequels are alright, but you need a happy medium. I love supporting new IPs. Sometimes I think support for these new franchises is the problem, because gamers are generally rightfully skeptical.
I'm a big RPG fan, so looking to the past we see new IPs like Lost Odyssey and The World Ends With You that gained critical acclaim but didn't sell very well, probably because people just didn't want to place their money in a risky situation. What if they were horr...
Heavy Rain attempted this and largely succeeded in my opinion. One of the more unique titles this year.
Torrence is my hero. It is a shame the best editorials and opinion pieces don get the exposure they deserve because all people here are interested in is verbally sparring over sensationalist headlines about topics that have been beaten to death time and time again.
I agree. I think part of the problem is getting away from split screen and focusing too much on online aspects. Not that there is anything wrong with that in and of itself, but I long for the days of people actually wanting to get together with friends in the same room for a night of Golden Eye.
Nothing is original these days.
That tail...wow...no comment. ;) And aren't English voices almost always questionable in Japanese games?
Yeah, I'm kind of enamored with the new female protagonist in P3P...I feel dirty.

There has to be a distinction between game play mechanics and narrative. Almost every game in existence makes some sort of compromise in this respect for logistical reasons.
Whoever calls CoD an RPG needs to have their eyes checked.
I'm sure what defines an RPG is different depending on who you ask. But we do see some common ground when talkin of various story devices and mechanics.
I might be slightly hot and bothered by this. ;)
can't wait to find the time to play this. Hopefully being on a handheld system doesn't hamper my enjoyment of the game.
I'm sure it was fun writing these editorials, as well. It's always goog to spread great work around for those who might have missed it the first time.
One of these days something will happen and some developer will hit the jackpot, kind of like World of Warcraft. It just hasn't happened yet in the FPS space.
Open bar sounds tasty, yes it does.
I wouldn't say having two analog sticks is bad...but then again, I don't play shooters on the PSP, so I could care less.
