When I read the headline, I said "What are you? Under a rock or something? They already are!"
PMC's are on the rise, and have been BEFORE Advanced Warfare was even revealed. Then after the reveals, we see militarized police.
How is this automatic? You buy shares, you have to write a check, or pay cash, end of story. Unless you set up a transfer to bank accounts or in this case "accounts" (gift cards).
Even then, even if the person(s) set it up to transfer to gift cards or... currency. It's a dumb move. You devalue your cash. So, now it's pretty much "gone."
EDIT: Reading below - I forgot all about store credit. But what would they buy with all of this...
This is one of the most stupidest notions that I've seen yet. I would expect this comment out of Michael Patcher's mouth, but it's a journalist trying to make an article for the sake of controversy.
RE4 didn't taint Resident Evil, Capcom tainted Resident Evil. End of story.
I can't even bother to understand the article. Dumb article.
(This is not directed at you, @LazyGoron, so excuse me.)
...And your point is?
The last time I checked: It was 10 years ago, your team released a Doom title. Not a very good title, I might add.
Not really, the video keeps looping over, and over.
I saw the video from the Call of Duty facebook, and I thought. "What the...? That's it?"
Since you were nice enough and even asked questions instead of trolling, or attacking, I'll go ahead with a response of my own!
Yes, a lot of the policies that they adopted during the early days - are gone. But, in it's place, Nintendo adopted new methods, new protocols that drove away developers. Otherwise why would developers "pull out" at the last minute? It's because its the same schtick.
Secondly, as much as I think the policies wer...
If you don't want to read them, then don't read them. Simple.
I wanted to take advantage of this wave of controversy and challenge the other(s) on these kind of opinions.
Actually, yes it has. Look at the statistics. I mention it in the article.
But, the other journalist didn't mention it. This is a problem that started during Super NES. Or rather, blew up in Nintendo's face during Super NES.
This isn't the "same" article. It's an opinion article that challenges the other one. I was making a "disagreement" article.
To be fair, Nintendo has always had the worst software droughts during the Summer. During the N64 years, we'd have to wait the ENTIRE summer in order to get a new game, You had to wait until at least September 10th-31st to get your new game. That is, provided, you like that game. That's how bad it is to be a Nintendo fan back then, and Wii family is no different.
A very in-depth look at Mortal Kombat. Splendid job, whoever pieced that together.
When I read the article's title, I thought "Oh, shut up!" You'd do the same if you had the chance. Hey, author, NewsFlash: Companies bribe critics, journalists, and bloggers all the time, how is this different? Nothing!
I don't want to buy a Nintendo console just so that I could play a Mega Man game. No.
I was thinking: "Where are the heavy hitters, Microsoft?"
Wasn't this known at Advanced Warfare reveal?
"Damn that Sasuke!" ;)
I was just saying the same thing. I mean, really? Do you really have to ask?
Mortal Kombat X! It's not that hard. Damn.
Actually, it's not. I have been rejected by E3 Expo in the past, and the worst part is... My network of sites gathers over 10,000 views a month. MW3Blog alone gathered over 150,000 views. 20 to 30 percent are from here (N4G).
This is E3 trying to commit career suicide.
I second this.
