I disagree, because when you are pandering to TWO different markets in the FPS arena, then you have both markets. EA made a smart move here. If you can't see that, then the sales will tell you the whole picture.
I didn't like Battlefield 1, regardless of the fact that I thought initially, the game looks beautiful. However, playing the TitanFall 2 beta it was more fun than BF1. Sorry, but true.

The game has hellish, satan-ish themes, so yeah, I agree that it seems fitting for the game.
I don't know if you realise this, but cost of manufacturing these PS4's must be costly for them anyway. They're coming out with a new model whether you like it or not. It's the smart move, to do that. To reduce the costs of manufacturing for parts they feel don't bode well for PS4 in the current stage. They did this with PS3, albeit quietly, but they still did it.
