To an extent, I can understand not liking it, but after 6 you think fans would be willing to try anything. I've been a fan since the beginning and everything points to this game being an evolution to the series like 4 was in 2005, but maybe even more "RE" oriented.
Season passes are cool when they give you a slight discount over buying the DLC seperately. While I don't care for call of duty and don't think the map packs are worth 15 bucks, at least they give fans an incentive by allowing them to save 10 bucks when buying the maps all at once.
RE7 was a first person game before PT was released. Many interviews will tell you that. Plus, not many first/third person games do it successfully. One viewpoint always lacks. I'd never play Skyrim all the way through in third person.
There's a difference between having concerns and some of these people saying they hope the game crashes and burns. That's not caring about the livelihood of the series at all. That's saying "this iteration isn't what I want, so I don't think anyone should play it or be able to play it."
I like the people saying "there was no need for this change". No. There wasn't. Capcom is doing something different because they felt they found a way to make it work. Instead of going off the handle on any article about this game, why not just accept that it's coming? You don't have to like it, or buy it. Go to a friend's house and try it or ignore it all together instead of forming an entire opinion around the 12 minutes of gameplay we've seen from trailers and...
I think the whole point of this article was to say the game is running at 1080p 60fps on OG Xbox One and PS4. Pro and X1S are two different beasts, and PC will obviously have it's advantages.
Unfortunately I haven't played in VR. I'll probably wait a year and play it on VR on PC.
It's not. Resident Evil isn't a translation from the Japanese title. They had to come up with a totally new title for the original outside of Japan due to trademarks on the word "Biohazard".
Might buy this for PC once I get it built. Can't wait to pick up my collector's edition on the 24th.
Right. I read some of the leaked file names, then when it got down to the supposed chapter by chapter rundown I was like "oh he'll no!" and backed out of the page.
Oh trust me, I've been on there for about a month haha. I'm up to around 1500 with speakers, monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Slowly planning my first PC build for income tax time and all signs are pointing to the 1070.
I think the "scaling" function is the best way to do most games. Glad to see it's returning and that they're including the madhouse difficulty as well
Been putting little bits down on my collector's edition at gamestop every week. Can't wait for January 24th.
When you think about it, it's going to be like the first game, meaning a lot of backtracking in this game, so it makes sense.
I think most series' are better off if fans wait a long time and finally get a good game without knowing too too much about it before hand. God of War is one of those series that already has its fan base. They could have announced the next one 5 months before release and it would most likely sell just as well.
I have the original PS4 and I'm not having problems. I'm not a graphics whore, but a decent frame rate is expected. The day I get ripped off in terms of not being able to properly play a game that is advertised for my system, on my system, is the day I sell and start saving for a PC build.
It's taking everything in me not to scoop up every piece of info I can about this game. I haven't been this excited for an RE game since 5 was announced and didn't have the CoOp elements yet.
I've been playing since the beginning and I couldn't be more excited for this game. Definite day one buy for me.
@Melankolis I feel for you and if you haven't tried the demo, I urge you to at least give it a shot. While in first person, it moves very slowly. It might not be as bad as typical first person games.
