XDefiant has had its issues, everything from bunny hopping to the hit reg, and most recently, the Weekly Challenges. Some of these problems have been partially solved, but others still persist. With Season 1 just around the corner, the players are expecting miracles. One of the most popular requests to XDefiant developers must be the removal of an annoying feature, the infamous Spider Bot.
Players Share Why The Removal of the Feature is the Way to Go
A lot of players absolutely detest the Spider Bot, as it completely changes the pace of the game. Connnooorrr complained: “Spider Bot has absolutely no place in this game. For how fast-paced this game is and how everything is meant to speed up the gameplay, the Spider Bot sure does the exact opposite”.
GBCsaturn added: “It’s also bugged, I’ve had the same spider bot jump on my face 3 times in a row. I couldn’t even shoot it bc it would leave my face and reattach over and over while still stunning me nonstop”. Raizow confirmed: “The Spider bit tops everything. I also don’t understand why there is still the bug, where the spider can actually hit you 2-3 times in a row”.
You might have experienced being attacked by multiple Spider Bots, one by one. Unfortunately, this isn’t a bug but a game feature. One dedicated player, hafode3179, explained: “I think Spiders do exactly the same path-finding. So if 3 Deadsecs throw a Spider each they all attack the same person. It is annoying”. Also, if 3 Deadsecs throw Spiders, you’re in a lot of trouble.
Glow1x pointed out another annoying thing about the Spider Bots. They noted: “I’d understand if my movement was slowed during the facial r*pe but I get slowed like a second or two before it even though I’m watching it walk towards me”. EntrepreneurInside90 added: “Not only that, but you also can’t move your camera while the spider is doing the jump animation when it wants to grab you”.
XDefiant Players Know That the Spider Bot Isn’t the Only Annoying Feature
Well, as every coin has two sides, so does this story. We can’t say that Spider Bot has a lot of fans, but many players see it as a minor threat. Those players usually have issues with other aspects of the game. D3SK3R reported: “I’d rather play against Spiders the whole day than play against stupid Cleaners and their skill that discourages them from using their weapons and, instead, press the magic kill button”.
BravestCashew shared a way to get rid of the Spider. They said: “Look down and shoot if it’s on your face. I used to only destroy it off my face very rarely, now I destroy it nearly every time. Literally, just look straight down and start shooting”.
Another player, 7_Cerberus_7, shared another opinion on why there were worse things than the Spider Bot. They noted: “The spider you can see and hear coming, but the way you remove it is time-consuming. Being wall hacked is quick and easy win or lose”.
To be honest, we haven’t had a lot of trouble with Spider Bots. Sure, they are extremely annoying, but you can get rid of them fairly easily. They aren’t that big of a problem. Is the annoying Spider Bot “the worst” feature in XDefiant? No, but the Spider Bot certainly isn’t at the top of our list of favorites, either. Especially, if we’re unlucky and it bugs out on us. The good news is that the developers listen to their player base, so this feature might meet its doom at some point. We’re sure there are a lot of players looking forward to it.
