Abilities for All Factions in XDefiant

Every Faction in XDefiant is unique and comes with Abilities inspired by their original game. Read on and we will explain all Faction’s Abilities in detail below.

Cleaners

Cleaners originated in The Division game series, and these former sanitation workers use fire to solve all their problems. In XDefinant, Cleaners are damage-dealing specialists who utilize incendiary rounds, flamethrowers, and fire-spreading drones. This Faction is perfect for players who enjoy aggressive playstyle.

  • Ultra: The Purifier – A flamethrower ensures enemies are thoroughly sterilized.
  • Passive Trait: Incendiary Rounds – Incendiary ammo inflicts extra burn damage but decreases weapon range.
  • Ability: Incinerator Drone – A napalm-delivering drone burns everything in its flight path.
  • Ability: Firebomb – Detonate a Molotov cocktail, causing explosive damage and igniting the area.

A notorious hacking collective from the Watch Dogs series, DedSec relies on their hacking skills to disrupt enemies. Believing in taking down systems of control, DedSec hackers can take control of enemy abilities and disrupt the enemy’s HUD. Along with all this, they have a Spiderbot that hunts enemies for them.

  • Ultra: Lockout – Disable the enemies’ HUD, minimap, and abilities in the affected area.
  • Passive Trait: Fabricator – After a device is deployed, the Fabricator prints a new one.
  • Ability: Spiderbot – deploy a Spiderbot that will target and stun the nearest foe via face hug.
  • Ability: Hijack – Hack enemy-deployed abilities and make them your own.

Echelon

Although capable in a firefight, the agents of Echelon are more at home using subterfuge. These super spies from Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series do not appear on the minimap. Additionally, all their abilities are oriented on intel gathering and surprise attacks.

  • Ultra: Sonar Goggles – Reveal enemies and hunt them down with the classic Third Echelon 5.7 pistol.
  • Passive Trait: Low Profile – Agent does not appear on the enemy minimap.
  • Ability: Intel Suit – Share the location of nearby enemies with your team.
  • Ability: Digital Ghillie Suit – Renders the agent nearly invisible. Moving and aiming will reduce the effect of invisibility.

Libertad

The revolutionary fighters from the Caribbean island of Yara, Libertad are expert medics. Adopting the BioVida for battlefield use, they can keep the whole team alive and simply standing next to a Libertad agent affects players’ passive healing. This is a Faction for all players who love supporting their team and keeping them in a fight.
