Heading into a new game like XDefiant can be a daunting task, but luckily the game has a Practice Zone. This kind of game mode is a great way to introduce players to game mechanics without the pressure of competitive gaming. Moreover, Practice Zone gives even a veteran player a peaceful environment to try out new weapons they have unlocked.

How to Use Practice Zone in XDefiant

When the game was launched this feature was not accessible from XDefiant’s game menu. However, players could still use Practice Zone, they just needed to launch it separately from Ubisoft Connect. Developers have fixed this and now Practice Zone has become accessible from the list of game modes.

Although the Practice Zone is currently a work in progress and not all of the features have been implemented, you can still use it to try out guns and get used to movement mechanics. Practice Zone offers players three zones that can be used to practice the various aspects of the game. These zones include Assault Course, Abilities & Ultras, and Firing Range.

Assault Course

Assault Course offers players a movement course to run, jump, and slide through while firing at stationary targets. This course will time your best run and will teach you the basics of movement in XDefiant. Because movement is an essential part of the game, being able to practice in a safe environment without someone trying to kill you is a great thing.

Abilities & Ultras

Although this zone was not available at the time this article was written, we can make assumptions about what it will be once it is added to the game. This zone will probably go over all agent Abilities and Ultras, allowing players to try every one of them using some sort of scenario, probably against some bots or stationary targets.

Firing Range

As its name suggests, the Firing Range offers players a safe environment to try out various weapons XDefiant offers. This zone has two parts, one with stands of in-game characters spread across a map at different elevations and ranges. The other is a more classical firing range, with moving targets at different distances.
