M870

Muzzle: Barrel Extender
Front Rail: Pistol Grip
Rear Grip: Quick Draw
Stock: Padded
Although a default shotgun in XDefiant, the M870 might just be the best shotgun in the game currently. To improve on its good starting stats, adding a Heavy Barrel and a Barrel Extender Muzzle provides M870 with additional damage, making this a true one-hit-kill weapon at close range. Moreover, taking the Pistol Grip Front Rail and Quick Draw Rear Grip will almost completely negate penalties from the Barrel Extender, while also improving speed. Lastly, a Padded Stock will bring additional control and aim stability that will make this gun one of the best close-range options in the game.
AA-12

Like other shotguns, the AA-12 is great at close range, but its efficiency drops drastically outside of this.
