Tinfoil Hat Time – Possible New Colossus Leak or Another Translation Error in The First Descendant

It is a fact that the developers add parts of upcoming content to the game way before they officially go live. It is how dataminers dig out new stuff. But, it may happen that some of the upcoming content unintentionally leaks into the game. With that in mind, one player has noticed an unknown Colossus name when tinkering with his Modules.

Possible Leak

When you click the “Equip Recommended Modules”, the popup message will appear, stating something like “This is the recommended module combination for [your] Descendant based on records from top 10% successful intercepts used in [the next Colossus you’ll face] void intercept battles.” For example:

One player, named Prophet_Rome, was seemingly tinkering with their modules, and when they pressed the “Equip Recommended Module”s button, they were greeted with an unknown Colossus name. The message they received was: “…from top 10% successful intercepts used in Death Stalker void intercept battles.” We presume that the player in question has already defeated Gluttony so this may be the name of the upcoming Season 1 Colossus.

One user stated: “I mean that’s some pretty damming evidence lmao someone’s getting fired”. It is not impossible for Nexon to leave us tidbits of info about upcoming content. It is how we learned about the full names of Descendants and possibly got some info on upcoming new characters.

Or Another Translation Error

On the other hand, Nexon became infamous for translation errors (we all remember the recent “guaranteed drop” situation). This could very well be another of those. When asked if could it be just another error, the OP said: “I was thinking it might be a translation error for grave walker, *shrugs*. But yeah it didnt even try to add my sub modules lol.“

Also, Grave Walker is a Level 10 boss, so highly unlikely, unless the list “made a full circle”. More players think it could be a translation issue, but none are entirely convinced. Like True_King_Roze said: “Maybe a translation error, but I doubt it, though.”

Both answers have their merits. We had translation errors in the past, but it may very well be that the game simply pulls the name of the next Colossus from the database and no one noticed. Get your tinfoil hats on, people.
