The new Season of The Finals is scheduled to start on June 13. Some lucky players had a chance to try out everything in the content creator preview of The Finals Season 3. Thankfully, they shared their experiences with their community. Two Redditors, TGebby and Thegunbuck, provided the fans with a glimpse at what awaits. According to Thegunbuck, they played for 2 hours total, playing World Tour Tournament for the first hour and Terminal Attack for the second hour.
Season 3 Will Bring Some Great Weaponry to the Finals
Starting with the Light, both players were amazed by the Recurve Bow. Thegunbuck said: “The bow is awesome. It feels as if the throwing knives had a baby with the sniper rifle”. TGebby added: “It feels best with evasive dash or cloaking for sneaky angles. The damage feels really good and functions very well as an additional mid-semi long-range weapon”.
For Medium, players will get Dual Katanas. TGebby reported: “They feel really nice and fit within a movement medium build the best imo (zipline plus bounce pad) with Dematerializer”. Thegunbuck noted: “I mean, in theory, they’re cool as hell. But, you do take what seemed like 50% of the damage intake when using the deflecting mechanism and I’m not sure of how much of the bullets I did deflect actually bounced back into the attacker”. The other player added: “The deflect is a bit of a skill check”.
Heavy players are in for a treat. The players who tested the game reported both the Winch Claw and the Spear as phenomenal. Thegunbuck raved: “Oh my gosh! The Winch Claw feels OP! It’s got crazy range and has the ability to EASILY move the Cashout station—enabling you to move them to advantageous positions”.
Other Redditors had a lot of thoughts on Heavy always getting the best updates. A fan, obar271, noted: “Heavy is the favorite child it seems”. Xerqthion confirmed: “They have proved it since release. No substantial nerfs to the class while light gets tortured out back”.
The Preview Offers a Better Look at the New Map
As for the map, we think you’ll enjoy it. Thegunbuck reported: “This map was absolutely beautiful. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, it was intricately designed in a way that felt very open while providing a lot of coverage to move around the map surreptitiously”. TGebby added: “There are a lot of jump pads and zips to get you around pretty quickly. It’s a very fast-paced map”.
They also discussed other aspects. TGebby talked about Skins. They noted: “I’m not going to go into detail of every skin but from a generalized view having tried out all of the options in the battle pass and store, the cosmetics in S3 feel awesome in general, the Power Ranger costumes are hilarious”. Thegunbuck also talked about the Battle Pass. They said: “The Battle Pass is straight fire. Take my money Embark. Nuff said”.
Now, if this preview isn’t enough to get you hyped up for Kyoto and Season 3 of The Finals, we don’t know what is. We are excited about trying out the new map the most. Kyoto and all the intricate little details sound amazing. Season 3 can’t come soon enough.
