A new Festival Season is coming, complete with new features, headliners, and more. Read this article to see the release date and upcoming features for the Fortnite Festival Season 4.
Fortnite Festival is a game mode with a musical twist. Instead of guns, you and other players are armed with musical instruments, in a game mode much like the popular Guitar Hero game. The Festival features a lot of licensed songs, and popular artists collaborated with Fortnite to provide additional entertainment and cosmetics. We saw Eminem, Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish as the headliners for Fortnite Festival. This time, for Season 4, we get to see the world-famous thrash metal band – Metallica. So, keep reading to see the release date, end date, and features of Fortnite Festival Season 4.
Fortnite Festival Season 4 Release Date and End Date
The official release date for Fortnite Festival Season 4 is Thursday, June 13, 2024. Season 4 will last until August 16, 2024, at 12am ET. That is approximately two whole months of metal-infused madness.
Festival Pass
As always, there is a free and a premium Track for the Fortnite Festival. The free Track features a couple of songs and cosmetics, but the Premium Reward Track is where it’s at. Just by unlocking the Premium Track (for 1800 V-Bucks), you will get the Lars Ulrich Fortnite skin. You will unlock other band members’ Outfits (Robert Trujillo, Kirk Hammett, and James Hetfield) by progressing through the Premium Reward Track, along with many more Metallica memorabilia.
New Cosmetics and Jam Tracks
Available in the shop is the Puppet Master set, and each band member has his own Puppet Master Outfit.
As for the songs, the following will be available for purchase during the whole Season, with more to come at a later date:
- Metallica – “Enter Sandman”
- Metallica – “Fuel”
- Metallica – “Master of Puppets”
- Metallica – “Ride the Lightning”
- Metallica – “The Unforgiven”
- Metallica – “Wherever I May Roam”
New Game More – Battle Stage
A competitive mode is coming to Fortnite Festival. Sixteen players in total will be competing until only one is left. All players will be playing the same Jam Track (randomly chosen from a select pool of Jam Tracks), but at least you get to choose the difficulty. Four players will be eliminated after each song until only one remains.
But that is not all. You can even launch attacks against other players, to slow their scoring and break their streaks. The mechanics are the same as the Overdrive, from the Main Stage.
The best part is that you can even organize private Battle Stages, where you and your friends can compete in the same manner. Moreover, you can choose your own Jam Tracks when playing a private game.
Season 4 is a great update for the whole Festival scene, and will surely attract even more players to the game. It is also refreshing to see a slight deviation from the pop-music-dominated scene we had so far. See you in the Never-Never Land.
