Season 3 of the Finals has just started and the players are hyped and full of impressions. The beginning of the new Season also means the addition of the new arena, Kyoto 1568, and even some themed weapons. The first reviews are in, and the players didn’t hold back.
Some Players Had a Rough Start of the Season 3
The official The Finals account on X posted a statement. It reads: “THE FINALS Season 3 is live! Explore the Kyoto 1568 arena, new weapons & gear for all builds, a Battle Pass celebrating the history and pop culture of Japan, our new ranked play, and the new World Tour Cashout tournament series! Sharpen your katanas, and see you in the arena”.
So far, the reviews are mixed. Several players were unable to start Season 3, they received “Build request failed” messages. At the time of writing this article, the developers confirmed that this issue is being worked on. Another negative feedback is over the fact that you can’t buy Season 3 Starter Pack with Multibucks.
Several Redditors pointed out that buying previous Starter Packs with Multibucks felt like a lovely little treat at the start of the Season. Now, some of them are expressing unwillingness to invest real-life money into unnecessary skins. Others declared that it’s only fair to give something back to the game. Ok_Physics4681 said: “They are already giving us much more than other games”.
First Impressions Are the Most Important
Aside from a couple of negative reviews, the rest of them are glowing. The players are particularly satisfied with all the implemented little details. For one thing, players praised the developers’ decision to enable single-item purchases from bundles from previous Seasons. Chunky_muffin565 said: “Gotta say, the fact that such a nice change like this isn’t being talked about so much, just means the rest of the season is so hype in comparison. W patch notes overall”.
Another huge win is the soundtrack and the audio in general. The patch notes stated: “The audience has been reworked and will now be more responsive”. KingTeXxx reported: “After playing a bunch of rounds… it’s awesome! Blowing someone up with the shotgun and hearing the crowd cheering is amazing. Embark is just insane with the atmosphere”.
Of course, players praised the balancing of the weapons as well. Srimes said: “The Lewis gun nerf, fixed Fire Spread, Throwing knife nerf. All things I think the game really needed. Embark goated”. Another player, sir_Kromberg, added: “M60 damage nerf too, which means that overall ranged heavies won’t be doing as much damage as they did before. Good stuff”.
