Season 3 of The Finals is in full blow and the players are mostly enjoying the new arena and the Battle Pass. With the hype for the start of the new Season slowly dying down, the community has noticed something peculiar. The Finals players started a discourse on cheating and toxic behavior in general. Something that wasn’t a big problem until recently seems to have snowballed into real chaos.

Reports of Cheating Have Multiplied Since Season 3 of The Finals Started

One player, Double_Caterpillar88, shared their troubles. They said: “I’ve been loving The Finals due to its uniqueness and massive destruction, but lately, the cheating has gotten out of hand. In the past few days, I’ve lost more than 4k ranked points due to cheaters. I was reaching the top 500 and am now back to 1000+. It’s incredibly frustrating to put in the time and effort, only to be unfairly penalized because of these scumbags”.

Another player, Kenta_Gervais, experienced a similar problem. They shared: “I found a dude with the AK that apparently had the ROF of an SMG, didn’t need to reload, and hit only and I mean ONLY on the head.  Honestly, for me, the Ranked (even being SoloQ) has always been one of the most entertaining parts of the game but right now I feel incredibly pissed. I’m very much considering moving to Valorant as it arrived on console, as I saw the anti-cheat being useful there”.

Several other players reported having the same experience. Altruistic-Fig-9369 noted: “So many cheaters in the EU server. I report at least 10 a day and get “action taken” notifications on pretty much all of them”. They added: “The first 2 weeks of any new season is filled with hackers – it will die down soon enough”.

The OP suggested a solution: “I have a suggestion that I believe would be fair and help alleviate some of the frustration for legitimate players: If a player is reported and subsequently banned for cheating, the teams that played against them should get their rank points back. Additionally, points should be removed from the cheater’s team to prevent boosting”.

Players Exhibiting Toxic Behavior Should Be Banned From The Finals

Aside from cheating, other forms of toxic behavior are currently a huge problem in The Finals. AnthonyXeno shared: “Sometimes in Casual, I like to try new Weapons I’ve never tried before like the Dagger and the Famas, and ofc I suck with it, but damn, it gets discouraging to branch out to different Weapons because they either leave or just start screaming at the top of their lungs because I’m not doing so well”.

There have also been several reports of racial slurs. Deep_Knowledge8746 noted: “I’ve been called the N-word with the hard R multiple times since Season 3 started. Probably every three days I hear racial slurs. From grown men to kids. A lot of trash coming in with the new fan base”. Now, this type of behavior shouldn’t be allowed in any type or form.

Gellix pointed out how abusing someone made no sense at all. They said: “I usually just tell them they’re only being toxic because they have a weak mentality. They are emotionally outlashing because they can’t handle losing. No one is gonna play better when you treat them poorly. It’s losing you more games than your skills are winning”.

We’d like to take a strong stance on this topic. Any type of toxic behavior should be strictly prohibited. The competitive nature of The Finals sometimes gets the worst out of all of us. Being that we are human and capable of reasoning and self-control, no one should ever be abused in a game. Playing games is something most of us do to relax in our spare time. If someone can’t control themselves, they shouldn’t be playing with other people. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us. With that said, let’s try to enjoy the rest of this great Season.
