Though this latest project will be set in the same timeline, it is looking to be an entirely different game, heavily incorporating a multiplayer aspect within its single-player storyline.

This feature allows up to four players to participate in online co-op mode, making it an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy the game alongside their friends.

The game is also set to include a Battle Pass system, which has become increasingly prevalent in many popular live-service games. This system allows players to progressively unlock cosmetic items that don’t impact gameplay but offer customization and personalization opportunities. 

While implementing a Battle Pass system can be somewhat controversial due to its monetization aspects, it can potentially add to the co-op experience and the longevity of the game, allowing players to style their characters to stand out from the rest of their friends and teammates.

Is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Single Player?

Alternatively, players can also choose to play the game as a single-player experience, where they pick between the four main playable characters: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. You will need to be outside of a mission to switch characters. Meanwhile, the other three characters will be controlled by AI.

It is important to note that, though Suicide Squad: KTJL offers the option to play solo, you will still need an internet connection to play at all. This was disappointing news for many fans as that takes away the convenience of an offline experience, though it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker if you have a stable internet connection.

Fans can expect the same high-quality campaign experience that Rocksteady Studios are known for through their work creating the many Arkham games.
