Although players are expecting there to be an alternate way of unlocking Buzzwole in Pokemon Unite shortly via event missions, there currently is only one way of getting this muscular mosquito on your team.
How to Purchase Buzzwole Unite License
The only way you can unlock Buzzwole permanently in Pokemon Unite is by purchasing its Unite License from the Unite Battle Committee using either 12,000 Aeos coins, or 575 Aeos gems.
The Unite Battle Committee is one of the three in-game shops in Pokemon Unite. While other shops are used to buy cosmetics or other items, UBC only sells Unite Licenses.

Step 1: Have Either 12,000 Aeos Coins or 575 Aeos Gems
Before you purchase a Buzzwole Unite License, you will first have to collect either 12,000 Aeos coins or 575 Aeos gems. If the amount seems high, then that’s because it is. Buzzwole is one of the more expensive Pokemon, beating the likes of Charizard and Blastoise by a large margin.
Although we do recommend you purchase the Unite License using Aeos coins because they are much easier to come by when compared to Aeos gems. If you want to avoid the long grind of collecting coins, then simply purchasing the required Aeos gems using actual money is a completely viable option.
If you find yourself short on Aeos coins, then the fastest way of getting them is by winning matches. Fortunately, losing matches will also reward you with them, though not nearly as much.
Step 2: Purchase a Buzzwole Unite License
Now that you’ve collected enough coins or gems for Buzzwole’s Unite License, all that’s left to do is to buy it and unlock the Pokemon. To do that:
- From the main menu screen you reach right after launching Pokemon Unite and logging in to your account, locate the ‘Shops’ tab near the bottom, and click or tap on it (depending on your device)
- On the shop screen, you’ll have three options to choose from, those being ‘Unite Battle Committee’, ‘Aeos Emporium’, and ‘Zirco Trading’. Click or tap on Unite Battle Committee.
- Once you click it, the next screen will have every buyable Pokemon. Look for Buzzwole, and click on it.
- Finally, click or tap on the confirmation button (granted, of course, that you have the coins or gems) and that’s it! You can now play as Buzzwole whenever you want.
Time to Start Flexing
Now that you know how to get Buzzwole in Pokemon Unite, all that’s left is to learn the perfect builds and strategy for it and you’ll be winning every 1 on 1 fight before long!
