The newest addition to the city-builder genre, Manor Lords is a medieval-themed strategy game. Raise your small village into a thriving city, with a complex workforce management system, various resources, trading, and more. City builders are known to be on the more casual side, and that makes them perfect to play on the couch or wherever you are most comfortable. And Steam Deck is a perfect platform for that. So, keep reading to see if Manor Lords is playable on Steam Deck.

Manor Lords: Is it Playable on Steam Deck

The short answer is yes, Manor Lords is playable on Steam Deck. The game passed all minimum requirements to be playable on Valve’s portable gaming platform. That means that you can manage your medieval village while on the go, during your regular commute, or from the comfort of your couch.

Moreover, players report that it works without trouble even on High settings, with a decent amount of FPS. Test out the settings on your Deck and find the ones that best suit you and your platform.

Is Manor Lords Optimized for Steam Deck

Manor Lord is considered “playable” on Steam Deck, but that does not mean it is optimized for it. At the moment, the controls are tricky, and there is an official warning that “some in-game text is small and may be difficult to read”.

While playable on Steam Deck, it will require some getting used to. You can use the touchpad and thumbsticks to control the camera, but for now, the best experience is when played on a PC. We are sure that down the line when controller support becomes available, Steam Deck compatibility will also be improved. The game is still Early Access, so we have to be patient.
