Is Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition Worth It?

The latest installment of the Modern Warfare franchise is available on pre-order, in two variants – Standard and Vault Editions. Should we stick to the Standard or is Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition worth it? Stick around and find out.

Modern Warfare 3 is slated to release on November 10. At the moment Open Beta is live and fans have been testing it out for free on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. But to get the full game fans have the option of pre-ordering the game, in two editions. Let’s see what they offer.

Is Modern Warfare 3 Vault Edition Worth It In The End?

Depends on personal preference, but some players may find the additional $30 a little too steep for just some cosmetics. $70 for the Standard Edition is no pocket change, and almost everything in the Vault Edition is obtainable or just plain cosmetics. If you are a big fan of the game and into some exclusive Operators you should go for the Vault Edition. If not, or if budget is an issue, maybe stick to the Standard. The upside is that you can upgrade from the Standard to the Vault Edition, by paying the presumed $30 price. So it is quite convenient if you change your mind after purchasing the Standard Edition. What’s In The MW3 Vault Edition?

The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, and the Vault is $99.99. What do we get for those additional $30? First off, pre-orders grant us an Early Access and Soap Operator Pack (including a masked and unmasked version along with the “Shadow Siege” Weapon Blueprint). Now, as for the Vault Edition, it includes:

Nemesis Operator Pack

This gives you Operators for Multiplayer: Captain Price, Ghost, Warden, and Makarov. Each of them is clad in animated outfits, themed according to their faction. Look pretty cool.

Two FATE Weapon Vaults

Each FATE Weapon Vault is a variant of a MW3 weapon with all available attachments unlocked. Each is themed according to the Vault you’re using. Red and black for the Konni Group or blue and silver for Task Force 141.

BlackCell Offering (season 1)

This gives you access to Battle Pass, access to the special BlackCell sector of the Battle Pass, in total 50 Tier skips (putting you halfway to completing the whole Battle Pass from the get-go), and 1100 CP.
