As the release on November 10 is getting closer and closer, fans are wondering will the next installment of their favorite First-person shooter have their famous multiplayer mode again.

Will There Be a Multiplayer Mode in Modern Warfare 3?

Yes, Modern Warfare 3 will have multiplayer. While Call of Duty games have awesome Campaigns and storylines we all love, fans are mostly there for the incredible PvP experience.

Activision has stayed true to its fans and 16 maps from Modern Warfare 2 will be modernized, remastered, and available in MW3, along with 12 new maps. The game will have 20 available maps upon its release while 12 new maps will be added with Season updates, all for various game modes.

What Are the Multiplayer Game Modes in MW3?

Modern Warfare 3 will have three primary game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. As for Multiplayer, we can’t go without the classic 6v6 modes like Team Deathmatch or Domination, the intense Search and Destroy, or the chaotic Hardpoint. Fans of large-scale battles can rejoice as the Ground War, Invasion and War Mode are also present. The big improvement is that map rotation will depend on the selected game mode, as every map has been tailored to a specific mode.

  • Cutthroat (a new 3v3v3 mode)
  • Deathmatch/Free-For-All
  • Domination
  • Ground War

  • Invasion
  • Search and Destroy

  • War Mode

What Are the New Multiplayer Features in MW3?

Activision will be reintroducing the Red Dot feature, which shows enemies as red dots on the minimap after they fire their weapons. Map Voting will be back, as well as having all the Perks available from the beginning. Veteran players won’t have to grind all over again as their progress with weapons, camos, and attachments will remain intact. The Health stat is increased with a reduced headshot multiplier, and lengthening Time-to-Kill (except in Hardcore mode), which lessens the frustration of being out of the game as now you have a greater chance to fire back.
