Major Orders are the main “narrative” of Helldivers 2, so read on to see what is the current Major Order and what the reward is if we are successful. Helldivers 2 is a cooperative sci-fi shooter, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. You and up to three of your squad members embark on dangerous operations, each of you choosing your own Weapons, Armor, Stratagems, and Boosters. The game itself does not have a campaign as you might expect. Rather, it has a global narrative, represented in Major Orders.
Major Orders usually call for invasions of certain sectors or planets, or their defense. The trick with Major Orders is that all Helldivers contribute to it. It is not something that an individual can achieve (you have Personal Orders for that). Rather it has a time limit and all Helldivers are called to action. The success or failure is felt by all Helldivers across the globe. We all win (and get rewarded), or we all lose. With all that out of the way, let’s see what the current Major Order in Helldivers 2 is and what the rewards are.
What is the Current Major Order in Helldivers 2
The current Major Order in Helldivers 2 is to liberate more planets than both Terminids and Automatons can take.
We have seven days to complete this order. That is somewhere until September 24.
How to Liberate and Defend Planets
To contribute to the overall liberation score of the planet, you have to complete operations on it. The more operations and missions you complete, the greater your contribution to the score will be. We are unsure how the enemy’s progress actually works (that is all up to Joel), but it is safe to assume that it is constantly increasing. Once the liberation percentage reaches 100% the planet is considered Liberated and under Super Earth’s control.
Defending planets is similar. Completing missions will contribute to the overall defense score, while the enemy also has their own score. The Defense Campaign has a time limit, and when the time is up, the side with the highest score wins. Additionally, Defense campaigns have a slightly different set of missions, more focused on defense.

The rewards for Major Orders are usually Medals or Requisition, and the current Major Order is not much different. The reward for this MO is 55 Medals.
