The New Major Order Will Help With the Progress of the Xenoentomology Center in Helldivers 2

After successfully completing the previous Major Order on the bot front, which helped with the construction of the DSS, it’s time for Helldivers 2 players to go back to the bug front and help with the development of the Xenoentomology Center. Some players are already concerned with what may come out of this project.

Helldivers Have to Help With the Development of the Xenoentomology Center

On October 11, the developers took to Discord and informed the players of their next assignment. Players were given almost a week to take hold of and keep 5 planets. The planets that need to be liberated are Darius II, Pandion-XXIV, and Gacrux, while Crimsica and Turning are already under the control of Super Earth. The MO explains: “Hold the designated planets to quarantine the Terminid Research Preserve on Acamar IV”.

Of course, the devs offered a Super Earth High Command Brief alongside this MO. They noted how the scientists at the Xenoentomology Center on Turing have been assiduously working to develop High-Efficiency Alcubiere Drives.

The devs explained: “However, research progress is currently bottlenecked by the number of Terminid specimens available. Additionally, the advent of the DSS will drastically increase our E-710 requirements. Therefore, High Command has ordered the establishment of a Terminid Research Preserve on Acamar IV”.

Furthermore, they added: “Terminids will be seeded inside tightly controlled areas on Acamar IV, allowed to develop naturally but kept in check by a robust network of electrified fences. Research Teams stationed within the Preserve will be able to requisition Terminid specimens as needed, aided by SEAF Bug Wardens. In the future, the Preserve can be expanded to provide not only research specimens but also easy-to-acquire E-710”.

Some Helldivers Worry That the Major Order Will Have Consequences

If you’re thinking this whole idea sounds vaguely familiar, well, other Helldivers fully agree. You see, some Helldivers 2 players shared their concerns about participating in the Major Order, as the Xenoentomology Center sounded a bit like Jurrasic Park. And we all know what happened there.

Oshoryu noted: “I’m fully expecting an outbreak on Jurassic Park levels. “Terminids, uh, found a way.” Let’s hope SEAF spared no expense”. Echo_Sunx added: “Yeah, but unlike those dinosaurs, Super Earth is flowing with DEMOCRACY! So, nothing bad will happen”.

However, other players came up with an interesting idea. They suggested turning these areas into shooting ranges. Geeekaaay mused: “How many Super Credits do I have to pay to visit this Bug Preserve as a firing range for testing loadouts?”.

A catastrophe waiting to happen, a shooting range, or maybe an opportunity for bugs to evolve? Honestly, all of these scenarios sound very promising, so we can’t wait for the story to unfold. So, let’s get to squishing bugs. The upcoming patch will surely allow the players to be even more productive. For Managed Democracy and Super Earth.
