The Latest Major Order Challenges the Helldivers 2 Players to Cooperate

The Democracy Space Station is currently under construction on Gaellivare, on the Automaton front. Even though there were some efforts to liberate Imber, the neighboring planet, they were unsuccessful. If the Helldivers 2 want to make a dent in the Automaton front, they’ll have to unite and cooperate for the new Major Order.

The High Command Briefing Explains the Necessity of the Major Order

On October 4, the developers took to Discord to announce the new Major Order and give a High Command Briefing. They noted: “The Democracy Space Station has entered the first of four construction phases. Its inspiring, grey-toned hull can already be seen in the orbit of Gaellivare. Once complete, the DSS will be a new strategic-level weapon. It will wield powerful, Helldiver-directed weaponry to aid in the liberation of its orbited planet. Through a cutting-edge voting system, the Helldivers will determine where to deploy the DSS, and when to use its capabilities”.

They continued: “Reaching the next stage of DSS development demands significant scientific breakthroughs. The completed station will be an order of magnitude larger than a Super Destroyer, beyond the capacity of our current Alcubiere Warp Drives to transport without astronomic E-710 consumption”.

This brings us to the current Major Order. Super Earth scientists made a lucky discovery, just when they needed to. The devs explained: “We have identified atmospheric readings on Claorell indicating the Automatons are already engaging in deep-mantle mining operations on the planet. The Helldivers are directed to liberate Claorell and its deep-mantle mining complex from the Automatons”.

Will the Helldivers 2 Players Find a Way to Cooperate?

If you look at the Galactic map, you’ll see that the divers don’t have direct access to Claorell. They have to liberate another planet before even gaining access to their true target. Unfortunately, hours into Major Order, it’s clear that the Helldivers 2 players haven’t found a way to cooperate yet.

There are only two planets through which the divers can gain access to Claorell. Those planets are Imber and Clasa. At the time of writing this article, Clasa is at a 0,0019% liberation rate, with almost 16k divers on the planet. On the other hand, Imber is at 1,04%, with almost 20k Helldivers fighting on it. Now, you can imagine just how effective the players would be if they gathered on one planet instead of the current approach.

Unfortunately, probably due to the lack of information on the Galactic map, the players will continue to choose the planet they like more, rather than the planet that could be liberated faster. There is a movement all over social media to get more players on Imber, so we’ll see if the divers will finally unite there.

Many players pointed out that this Major Order is adding yet another storyline to the lore just in time for Liberty Day. With the Democracy Space Station under construction and the whispers of the Illuminate, we’re sure the devs have grand plans for this year’s celebrations. For Liberty and Super Earth.
