By now, the majority of players know about a huge project folding out on Gaellivare. Recently, the players chose this planet as the place of construction of the brand-new Democracy Station. Most of the players are currently fighting on Imber, for the Major Order. If successful, the Helldivers 2 players will not only have a buffer planet, but they’ll speed up the construction of the Democracy Space Station (DSS) and, hopefully, find out if any of their expectations would come to fruition.

Some Helldivers Have High Hopes for the Democracy Space Station

Even though there isn’t a lot of information on what you should expect from the DSS, devoted Helldivers already have it all figured out. Aside from the developers revealing there will be a sophisticated voting system, and the DSS would deploy to the players’ planet of choice, we still don’t know all the details.

The number one request was for the DSS to be some sort of a hub for Helldivers. The players would love for it to be a social center, with lots of interactive content. Some asked for mini-games, like arm-wrestling or chess, while others would love to meet more NPCs, some even suggested Moo Deng.

AgingLemon added: “Gameplay content/features that provide an incentive for playing on the planet the DSS is orbiting. It would be like the periodic bonus Strategems, but maybe more or different encourage players to do an operation on unpopular planets/enemies needed for the MO”.

Of course, many players asked for more customization, whether ship or Helldiver, it would be cool to have some more control over that aspect of the game. Also, a lot of Helldivers would love to finally get a shooting range.

Helldivers 2 Players Remind the Community to Lower the Expectations

Some Helldivers 2 players warned the community to lower their expectations for the Democracy Space Station. Even though we are realistically among the players with high expectations, maybe it’s better to expect less and be surprised than to be extremely hopeful and end up disappointed.

Internal_Ad_4586 stated: “To be honest I really don’t think the DSS is any kind of ‘hub’ like the Anomaly in No Man’s Sky. It’s simply an extra powerful Stratagem deployment mechanic that can move to different planets. I’d love to be proved wrong, but I think people are getting excited about speculations. Arrowhead hasn’t said anything about it being a social space or anything similar”.

Now, based on the recently released DSS blueprints, we really shouldn’t have ludicrous expectations. Still, Liberty Day is fast approaching, and a mesmerizing number of players would love to defend the DSS against the Illuminate, so here’s to hoping. For Liberty and Super Earth.
