Devoted Helldivers have been on an emotional rollercoaster for the last several days. The latest update and Warbond introduced lots of changes, some positive, but mostly negative. The devs are seemingly listening, as they even offered a feedback form for the players. Now, the entire Helldivers 2 community is waiting on the devs to decide if the unwanted changes will be reverted.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Ready for Some Changes
As they say – hope dies last, unfortunately, this has become an unofficial motto of the Helldivers 2 community. Lots of players are putting all of their trust into the devs making things right. The most dedicated players report on checking the announcements every couple of hours just in case something new pops up in time for the weekend.
That_Mikeguy said: “Anyone else logging back into Reddit/Discord every 3 or 4 hrs, just to check if there is any news on what AH will do about the fire nerf/unbalanced patch? I have been holding off on buying the newest Warbond. I’m in the belief that everyone complaining about the recent changes, shouldn’t buy the Warbond out of principle”.
Other players, like kralSpitihnev, are holding on to their faith in the developers. This player noted: “Well they did say they they heard our feedback. They even made the feedback thing. So I think they’re is a chance they’ll do something. This is a much bigger backlash than with Eruptor”.
Some Helldivers Are Doubtful the Devs Will Come Through
As you might have guessed, there is a little darker, maybe more realistic group of Helldivers 2 players who are doubtful of the devs making any changes soon. These players insist that the game is what the devs want it to be and the community shouldn’t get its hopes up.
Snotnarok explained why it might be a while until the players got what they were asking for. They stated: “You’re going to be waiting a week or more. They’re not going to buckle to people being angry like this. They said they need to consider it and it’s likely going to be the dev that played on 7/8 talking to the guys who are just reading the stats”.
Another Redditor, butcherface665, agreed. This player noted: “No but I’m sure they’ll “rebalance” eventually. In the meantime for your health just play something else. If they fix it someday and you still wanna return back to play then you have that option”.
This is an important note, as some players might experience burnout due to high expectations and disappointment. If you feel overwhelmed, please, take a break. We, for one, are sure that the devs are working hard on rebalancing the game, and this unfortunate update was just a fluke. Hopefully, they’ll prove us right very soon.
