Helldivers 2 Major Order Victory Caused a Black Hole

After valiantly fighting all weekend, dedicated players completed the latest Major Order. Reportedly, during the first 12 hours of the Major Order, only 0,001% of the mission was completed. Following a very rough start of the mission, developers issued a patch to fix a certain bug. Afterwards, it was smooth sailing for devoted players. Helldivers 2 players were in awe as a black hole was the by-product of the completed Major Order. Now, the community is wondering what horrors they have unleashed.

Helldivers 2 Community Celebrates the Major Order Win

The official X account for Helldivers 2 announced the victory. The statement noted: “VICTORY. Helldivers, thanks to your valiant efforts the Terminid Supercolony on Meridia has been eradicated. All it took was courage, determination, and the total collapse of the planet into a black hole. A brave sacrifice that has not seen any unforeseeable consequences”.

Players worldwide rejoiced over the ultimate liberation of Meridia. SpecialIcy5356 said: “It’s free of mass, free of light, free of life! free of EVERYTHING! This is what maximum freedom looks like”. Another fan, Affectionate-Try-899, confirmed: “We permanently solved the problem”.
It wasn’t long before players started pointing out the last sentence of the official statement, especially the “any unforeseeable consequences” part. Several fans pointed out that’s an “odd thing to say”. Is it possible that the dark fluid wasn’t properly tested and therefore created something unexpected?
Redditors agreed that there was something fishy about the whole ordeal. One of them, Offstar1029, said: “Yeah a black hole created from the Earth would be 1.75cm in diameter, that thing is planet-sized”. They then explained just how baffling the sheer size of the supposed Meridia black hole was. This fan elaborated: “An Earth-sized black hole needs 712,470,000x more mass than the Earth. Our sun is 330,000x the Earth’s mass. It’d take a lot more than the Meridia System”.
Another player, Herd_of_Koalas, didn’t really agree. They explained: “If your premise is that this isn’t a black hole based on IRL visualizations looking a bit different than in-game, it might be helpful to know that the scientific basis/theory of wormholes is basically that black holes would be the “entrance” if they were even real. But obviously, this is a game and real physics need not apply”.

Will Something Arrive Through the Black Hole?

Of course, not everyone was interested in real-life physics, most players just wanted to discuss what was coming. AvailableBegun claimed: “We created a wormhole for our third enemy”. The most obvious choice were the Illuminate. An avid fan, itsyoboi33, guessed: “The wormhole sits there for a while, the Helldivers make progress against the Terminids (hopefully) only for the illuminate to show up through the wormhole and blitz towards Earth”.
Several players were excited about the chilling sound coming from the alleged black hole. Cerbskies said: “The screams of the damned coming from that thing are superb. Here’s hoping for hellspawn to break through and suddenly, the forces of hell have joined the chat”. Others have noticed that the sound was familiar.
With all of these pent-up expectations, all we can do now is wait to see how everything will unfold. There is something satisfying about looking into the void, listening to the somewhat creepy sound of it, and contemplating. Hopefully, a new Major Order will reveal how much trouble the Helldivers 2 players are in because of the black hole. How excited are you to find out?
