With a massive update and a brand new Warbond fast approaching, the community is coming up with ideas to improve the game. Now, anyone who’s playing the game knows that the first Warbond is a gift. Some Helldivers 2 players are wondering if Arrowhead will ever offer their players another free Warbond.
Another Free Warbond Might Add Some Flare
Some players hope that they’ll get a free Warbond sooner rather than later. No_Ones_Records noted: “My hope is that there will be one for the next major update, new splash art would look great on a free warbond, but probably not”.
Another player, fuzzum111, gave a detailed analysis of why a free Warbond might be a great idea. They said: “There are Warbonds I’m just straight up skipping. I skipped Viper Commando, I don’t think there is anything in there that is a MUST have outside of maybe the Unstable Concoction Stim”.
This player explained how the existing Warbonds are underwhelming and not worth the Super Credits. In their opinion, all the weapons were just okay, while the accent was put on the skins that no one ever used. If the players had to pay for the Warbond, it couldn’t contain anything that was actually cool.
This Redditor explained: “I’d like some unique and interesting stuff in a Warbond, but I guess the only thing they can really stick in there are weapons, grenades, and new boosters. They can’t put whole vehicles behind it because that’d be messed up. I hope for another 8+ page free Warbond, maybe requires a certain amount of progress in the first Warbond”.
Helldivers Explain Why These Wishes Probably Won’t Come True
Obviously, most of the Helldivers 2 players hope for another exciting and huge free Warbond. Unfortunately, the reality is that it might not happen. One player, Iplaywaytoomanyrpgs, explained why. They noted: “Not likely. They expect you to farm Super Credits to unlock them since that also helps their player retention metrics. The good news is that the Warbonds never expire. There’s no FOMO with them. Farm them at your leisure”.
Another player, mwiley62890, agreed: “But you have to respect that lack of FOMO, and AH willing to let us farm Super Credits to participate in Warbond Content without thinking that we are “falling behind.” The peak of this game has already passed, but it looks like it has a 40k average – daily. And with future updates and Warbonds, the count will tick back up and have its moments”.
We can’t predict whether there will be any free Warbonds in the future, but it would be interesting if they added something similar to a Warbond that you unlock once you reach a certain level. That could be something that motivates the players to play more. On the other hand, spreading democracy is the only motivation most players need.
