The First Descendant How to Get Luna

The First Descendant Luna

Luna is the first character to be added to The First Descendant roster after its release. This is the 15th Descendant that players can unlock and play as in the game. Because of Luna’s unique set of skills, she is a perfect support character and will be a great addition to any team composition. So read on and find out what is needed so you can unlock Luna in the game.

How to Get Luna in The First Descendant

Firstly, players can get Luna by simply purchasing a character through an in-game shop. However, this requires players to have some Caliber currency, which is paid for with real money. There are currently two options to purchase Luna in the shop, one costs 900 Caliber (around $19.99), and this only unlocks Luna. While the other is 1,650 Caliber, this also unlocks Luna but also comes with a Descendant slot, Pool Party Head and Body skins, and Recorder Chest Attachment.

Alternatively, if you do not want to pay for a character in a free-to-play game, Luna can also be researched. As with other Descendants, to unlock Luna, players must go on farming runs for every material and blueprint needed. However, this is not an easy task and will take players some time to grind all four Blueprints needed.

How to Research Luna

To research Luna, players must first get four Luna Blueprints and craft three of them. Blueprints are the hardest to obtain, and grinding them usually involves Void Intercept battles. Below, you will find all the recipes and materials needed to craft everything needed to unlock Luna:

Luna Enhanced Cells

  • Carbon Crystal x554
  • Silicon x430
  • Pure Energy Residue x40
  • Gold x200,000
  • Luna Enhanced Cells Blueprint x1

There are a few ways players can get the Luna Enhanced Cells Blueprint. This can be opened from specific Amorphous Materials after Void Intercept battles against an Executioner (Amorphous Material Pattern 017- Mutant AA), and Pyromanic (Amorphous Material Pattern 039 – Mutant AA). Moreover, players can try to get this Blueprint as part of the drop loot after completing the Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor mission on Hard mode in the Muskeg Swamp part of the Echo Swamp region.

Luna Stabilizer

  • Flectorite x 292
  • Hellion x303
  • High-Concentrated Energy Residue x34
  • Gold x200,000
  • Luna Stabilizer Blueprint

Luna Stabilizer Blueprint can be dropped after opening Amorphous Material Pattern 068 – Mutant AA. Moreover, this can be done after two Void Intercept battles on Hard mode against the Dead Bride or Gluttony Collosi. This Blueprint can also be part of the loot reward after completing the Void Fusion Reactor mission in Museg Swamp. Lastly, players can get Luna Stabilizer Blueprint as a reward for finishing the Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor on Hard mode in White-night Gulch.

Luna Spiral Catalyst

Luna Spiral Catalyst has three potential drop missions, and two of them can be run on Normal difficulty. The first two are the Void Fusion Reactors missions in Moonlight Lake part of the Vespers region and the Defense Line part of the Fortress region. Another location for this drop is after the Abyssal Void Reactor mission in the Vesper region, but this must be done in Hard mode.

Luna Code

The Luna Code is the last Blueprint you will need to unlock Luna. Completing the Void Fusion Reactorb mission in The Storage part of the Agna Desert regions on either difficulty has a small chance to drop this blueprint as part of the reward. However, the better way to get this is from Amorphous Material Pattern 0094 – Mutant AA, after defeating a Void Intercept battle on Hard mode against Swamp Walker or Gluttony.
After you have collected and crafted all four items, you can go to Anais in Albion and start Luna’s research. However, all research also costs some Gold, but after some time, you can play as Luna in the game.
