If you are a Helldiver, you are most certainly at least aware of all the drama surrounding the latest update. At the time of writing this article, it’s been a week since the update dropped, and the community is still in turmoil. In order to efficiently sift through all the complaints, the Helldivers 2 devs and the Discord Moderators offered the players a feedback form through Discord.

Discord Moderators Read More Than 11000 Feedback Submissions

Several days after they asked for feedback, Baskinator, the Community Manager, shared how it was going. Two Discord Moderators, HowdyFeller and Haze, took it upon themselves to sort through and categorize more than 11000 forms to help the devs. They shared their progress with the Helldivers 2 players on Discord.

In a lengthy message, they thanked players who submitted feedback and explained their role in the entire process. They stated: “Y’all had some amazing ideas, and were super kind as well! We are both working on generating reports that encapsulate the main talking points. This does not mean that Arrowhead employees won’t be looking at the feedback forms! They will still be reviewing them”.

The Moderators shared that the main reason why they wanted to give some feedback to the community was to reassure the players that their voices were being heard. They concluded: “To everyone who sent in constructive feedback: Thank you. Your passion and love for the game is one we hold dear to our hearts as well. We love this game and community just like y’all”.

Some Helldivers 2 Players Are Still Doubtful

Many Helldivers 2 payers deemed this feedback from Discord Moderators as a lovely gesture. But, almost everyone pointed out that it was the actions that counted, not the empty words. HeatedWafflez noted: “Yeah as nice of an announcement as it is you just gotta temper your expectations”.

Other players were quick to insist that since these Moderators weren’t Arrowhead employees they didn’t have any authority. Ceral107 stated: “Yeah no. At this point nothing they say has any value until it’s backed up by actions. Doubly so from someone who’s not even working for AH”.

Greaterdivinity added: “I don’t want to trash talk them over this because it’s an incredible amount of time and effort they’ve spent but…to what end? I hope it was at least rewarding to them in the process, because outside of AH maybe giving them some props I don’t think this is really going to change much in terms of community sentiment”.

Honestly, we understand the community’s concerns, but we have to applaud these Moderators for putting in their time and sorting through thousands of forms. It’s up to the devs to make the Moderators’ contribution actually mean something. Hopefully, they’ll live up to the players’ expectations.
