On August 13, Nexon dropped another hotfix for The First Descendant. Hotfixes and updates are always a cause for celebration since they usually add new content and, you guessed it, fix some of the issues. The latest update, Hotfix 1.0.7, addresses some concerns raised by the community and has fixed some minor problems plaguing the community.
For example, now you don’t take any damage while in hazardous areas when you complete a Void Intercept Mission. Or, you can now get Luna’s Noise Surge Module, when you defeat the Executioner. But, at the end of all the patch notes, Nexon has left us a little teaser.
New Character Teased
When you reach the end of the official 1.0.7 Hotfix post on X, you will see an image of a silhouette and a message asking “Guess Who?”. The silhouette clearly shows a female Descendant, with a very long rifle. The accompanying message says: “The new Descendant is armed with cold fury and ready to strike. What do you think is her greatest strategy?”
Naturally, that has raised many questions in the community about the identity of this upcoming character.
Who Is This New Descendant?
The players have started guessing who this new character is. Sharen fans are hoping it is an Ultimate variant of Sharen they’ve been asking for. Some even speculate it is the mechanic, Captain Harris.
But, everything points towards it being Hailey, the character that was already teased before. In the leaks, provided by EUTOPIA’s video, it is said she is a sniper, with Chill-based Skills, and one of them is named “Cold Anger”. “Armed with cold fury…” in the post, “Cold Anger” as a Skill, she’s a sniper, the silhouette has a very long rifle, you can see where this is going. If this turns out NOT to be Hailey, everyone will be shocked.
The next big update, Season 1, is scheduled for late August, so in about two weeks we will get a new Descendant to play with.
