A Fan-Suggested Defense Strategy For Gaellivare Unites the Helldivers 2 Players
The current Major Order has the players liberating a planet they chose for the Democracy Space Station. Devoted Helldivers chose Gaellivare, and at the time of writing this article, it’s 78% liberated. This urged the Helldivers 2 players to come up with a future defense strategy for Gaellivare.
A Fan Came Up With a Solid Defense Strategy
While issuing the Major Order, the High Command noted: “The DSS will be extremely vulnerable to attack, so long-term defensibility is paramount”. So, the time is perfect for coming up with ideas on how to defend the site of the future Democracy Space Station. Helldivers galaxy-wide offered their ideas, most of which included liberating planets near Gaellivare, therefore cutting the Supply Lines.
One player, ILiekTakos2, explained: “Gaellivare has 3 Supply Lines to the planet, two of those being Imber and Lesath, both under Automaton control”. This fan suggested that the players should unite and liberate Lesath, and then Imber. Lastly, the Vog-Sojoth-Claorell-Clasa triangle would also be worth clearing of Automatons.
The OP explained this particular approach. They stated: “We should try going for Lesath first, since that will disconnect all other planets from Cyberstan, putting them at 0% decay rate. Then attack Imber, which depending on if we have that 0% decay rate, would be a lot easier. This would put one planet between the Automatons and Gaellivare, giving us time to defend the other planets in case one is attacked”.

Helldivers 2 Players Support the Strategy
The majority of Helldivers 2 players liked this defense strategy for Gaellivare. It was well-thought-out and promised gradual progress, which was something that was appreciated by the community.
SomeMoodyGuy noted: “Taking Lesath first would be the ploy if we can get enough people to agree to it. It wouldn’t immediately put the decay rate to 0, but cutting them off from the rest will help”.
Jakapoa had a slightly different idea. This player stated: “Imber must come first. Bottom line, no excuses. If Imber is not taken before the MO shifts and drags people away, the campaign will become a bigger uphill battle than it already is”.
This entire strategy relies on the current number of players on the bot front. Unfortunately, if the next Major Order puts the players on the bug front, the numbers will drop drastically. So, it’s up to Joel and his shenanigans.
First of all, we’d suggest you join your fellow divers on Gaellivare, if you haven’t already. Once the players liberate the planet, it will become clearer what the future options are. So, dear diver, see you on Gaellivare, well, probably not as it’s incredibly foggy there. But, we’ll be there, hopefully, you will, too. For Liberty and Super Earth.
